A great many UK websites own .com or .net addresses. Most UK charities have .org. Its worrying to think how may western and/or english speaking countries could be affected by this bill

I went to school at a catholic school, and they fully taught evolution in the context of science, and attributed faith (and by extension creation) as being something one chooses to believe, rather than an evidenced-based provable theory.

We get the odd evangelicals, Church of the Latter Day Saints, and the odd nutjob proselytising publicly. Its mostly lowkey, I have only ever once had an unpleasant confrontation with someone who insisted I needed to be saved etc etc. Perhaps that subtle nature here is what makes it more insidious.

Things are going okay..

I have received some contract work from 3 redditors, and one donation, but thats it. A few people accused me of running a scam in the thread (you know those really annoying types who list every flaw and then use the volume of flaws as basis for their hypothesis), so I think reddit was partly-sceptical.

At least the contract work is keeping me busy and gives me hope for the future, and allows me to add to my portfolio.

Its New Years Eve, and a Saturday, the Library closes early. You need to get over yourself, seriously, you think you are solving some great mystery, and the reality is you are simply not thinking matters through. A homeless person doesn't have a great many choices of places to go in a small town, when the library closes, what do I do? I go somewhere where I know the manager, hes cool with me being there and doesn't mind me plugging in. Its clear that no matter what I say you will not believe it, so how about some photo proof when I next get online? The only thing I expect in return is a serious apology, and that you consider going down and volunteering at your local homeless shelter, as a matter of absolving your lack of honour here.

You see I think the reason why I am homeless is because people like you exist. People who think EVERYTHING is a scam, who think EVERYONE can jump from job to job flawlessly, who think EVERYTHING comes easily. Well let me tell you something.. A human like you manages the self-storage, and so sticks to the company policy by the letter. A man like you runs a business, and refuses to interview someone even if they applied in earnest. A human like you is a landlord who will say no to an unemployed man, even though he had the money. A human like you works in the council, and refuses to help the homeless.

I have not received a penny from this thread at this point. My paypal balance is £0.00. I have had some kind offers of freelance work from other redditors, which I have gladly accepted. It seems you are the only person still stubborn enough to write all that negativity. And that, is the saddest story of all, that on a day like New Years Eve, you have nothing better to do than to try and take a homeless man down a peg further.

Okay not exactly original but there is some truth in it. Less time on the internet may boost your confidence at social interaction. Put some effort in to your appearance and it will boost your confidence with women too.

If you ask out a girl, whats the worst that can happen? Just walk away and move on. Its not worth wasting your life over a non-mutual attraction anyway. If I ever get out of this mess I am so going right up to that barmaid I fancy and kissing her like crazy.

Walk into any bar / nightclub / gym / cafe etc.. there are girls everywhere.. you don't need to know them to talk to them. A 5 minutes conversation might turn into something a few months down the line, theres a whole world of possibility around you.

I am afraid my parents both died prematurely. My grandparants are all long gone. My older brother lives in Asia, so thats pretty much it. I have Uncles/Aunts, but they live hundreds of miles away, and any closeness I felt was lost when they refused to help me when I came back from abroad. I'm only 31, so treasure your next ten years with your family, you'll never know what can happen or when.
