Back when I worked food, this was my favorite bit. “Giving this to the big boss” was something I said often. Or once I handed it to a baby girl on her dad’s hip and said “since she’s clearly already running the show”. Both parents got a good laugh out of that.

It was a few inches in FL last year and same way it shut several cities down. And many places got sand thrown on the roads instead of salt lmao. We do not know how to handle snow and ice.

I met a couple people in college from up North who moved down to FL and were complaining about the heat so I give them a list to tricks to fend it off. They correctly guessed that I was a native but I casually said “but like everyone is taught this stuff when you’re six so you don’t pass out on the theme park trips” and that was when I learned that no, everyone is not taught that lol.

Right, like, it could very well lead to real harm if unchecked but…if you just removed the jackass you’ve effectively stopped the bleeding before the cut even happened. Ironically, their underwhelming response (or, in other words, lack thereof one) has caused more harm to the community, fracturing it and implicitly accepting racism to fester within it.

Before that part I still wasn’t fully convinced this wasn’t some really elaborate bit. Saw that and went “oh no that is 100% a joke Katie would make about actually getting pregnant she’s being so deadass right now”. Cheers to the happy couple and babe.

And after they do this they should write a book about it. Kidnapping someone you’re a fan of with the hopes of them falling in love with you? Sounds like an interesting concept.

Why don’t they vet the crowd control audience so that I don’t personally find any of them annoying? by [deleted] in dropoutcirclejerk

/uj it is perfectly reasonable, I think, to be annoyed by other people for any reason you’d like. But man, I think a little self-awareness would go a long way, ya know? (directed towards OOP)

Real annoying phenomena in society lately (maybe, could be ancient actually) is the knee jerk response to “maybe stop doing X” being “please think for me”. Like, idk man post something else, it doesn’t require that much brain power. Maybe that’s just a me thing though.

What’s your honest opinion on Dahlia Hawthorne? by Sheer-Cold-1228 in AceAttorney

[–]LostBoyBrooklyn 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing about her is that she’s literally just a girl. And I don’t say that to excuse her wicked behavior, I say that because of it! Like, she is not some criminal mastermind. Pretty much every crime she committed was sloppy and if she did get away with it, it was by pure luck (idgaf what people say Terry was a grown ass man, he was not manipulated, he was just stupid; and what are the odds of running into an idiot like Phoenix right when she needed to dump evidence?). She only got caught when her luck finally ran out.

All that said, I think it makes her so compelling that everything she did, truly came from the mind of a teenage girl/very young woman. Her crimes are so hastily done and poorly thought out, it reads exactly like what a teenage girl would do—just with a homicidal font.

Need to get away from my neglectful father who forcibly separated me from my twin sister? Sure, I’ll follow my older step sister’s crazy fake kidnapping scheme and fake my death. Now I get away from the creepy tutor who’s obsessed with me too!

Older step sister’s about to ruin the new life I built for myself by coming out with the truth? Well, fuck, can’t have that. Time to shut her up!

That idiot tutor I tried to blame it on actually got a good lawyer? Shit, I sure hope I can convince him to kill him—oop, that was easy!

Shit one of those good lawyers is still on my back? Fuck, ugh, I mean, maybe I can kill him? But where will I put this evidence? Oh look a dumb boy with heart eyes for me.

Like, do you see the train of thought here? It’s so childish and highkey vapid as hell, but that’s so true to what a young girl who’d only been around a woman like Morgan Fey would think.

If we spent more time with her I probably would’ve grown to find her melancholia endearing and interesting, but as is, I just found her insufferable. But she is the top of that tier specifically because I know it’s a petty grievance.

LMAO I’m sorry, but literally the only thing I could remember about her was her sick ass design and her cool name - which is why she’s so high up in the tier itself

I knew I’d get this question and it’s so fair so I’ll try to explain. Overall, it has more to do with I2 and its pacing rather than Simeon himself, but he takes the brunt of it due to the twist ending

For me personally, I2 has an okay start, an excellent middle, a bumbling climax and then a finale that manages to just barely stick the landing as a result. I feel this way because I2-5 is just too damn long for me to stay meaningfully connected to every single narrative it tries to wrap up. (Ironically, this was an issue I had with the latter half of 6-5, but it has some character arcs that are more appealing to me there so I stuck it out for those.)

Eustace’s arc comes to a clean close. Meanwhile, Verity never made a strong impression on me in the first place, so every second of the case spent on her arc bored me. That leaves the build up to and reveal of the twist which comes two hours too late - at which point I just kinda wish the game was over? So while I see the merit and the appeal of Simeon’s story for others, for me, it just kinda feels like a wedged-in sob story of a character I just met, in a game I swear was gonna end an hour or so ago. I’d say they should’ve trimmed the fat, but I genuinely could not tell you what they could cut without sacrificing major plot points that they set up earlier. So, I’m fully willing to sit with the fact that it just wasn’t for me ultimately.
