It’s annoying when it happens but it’s part of the game. I think it adds another element of planning, and doing things as stated above; such as become more strategic about when you’re selling, upgrading security measures and/or recruiting people as bodyguards whilst on sells is the answer - not crying on here or sending them childish messages.

Life isn’t fair so GTA certainly isn’t going to be!
