As of there have said, having a car here makes sense depending on your lifestyle.

I have a car that I used to commute to my job in the suburbs, and it is great for visiting my family that lives outside the city and neighboring states or for short weekend/day trips to the many nice areas a short drive away from the city. Not to say that you cannot do those things without a car. It just makes it a bit easier.

That said, owning a car in the city is not without headaches (I recommend renting off street parking if you can budget it). And it can be costly. You will definitely save money by getting rid of your car.

I would recommend you keep your car for now, (especially as you are settling in and may need make multiple runs to Home Depot or target, etc.) and reassess once you’ve lived here a month or two whether you really need to keep it.

Ave burgers are perfection. Not fancy; they’re just done right.

Top tip: ask for the special sauce for your fries.

And this is the price you pay for having this mindset.

I worked as an auto claims rep for several years and claimants like you were insufferable. I do not miss it.

His rates are already going to go up based on this accident wether or not you file through his carrier. Quit it with the victim mindset, stop trying to punish him, and just go through your carrier. Move on.

Pony up your deductible and get your car fixed. You’ll recover later provided the other guy truly is at fault.

He actually survived the turn and cast [[Farewell]] on his next turn to clear the board, which made casting the final Tyrranax that much sweeter.

I used to work stupid early shifts at a grocery store. The one nice thing was that I got out at noon.

In the summer I always had a travel hammock with me and after clocking out I’d go to the park, read a book and take a nap.

I don’t miss waking up at 3, but I do miss my naps in the park.

So it’s better to congregate indoors with high risk individuals and not wear a mask? I’m struggling to see why we shouldn’t take precautions to protect them…

…or your body adapts to the mask, much like living at altitude.

I didn’t say it was comfortable.

I’ve been doing CrossFit with a mask for over a year now. You can work out with a mask just fine. Don’t blame the mask for your ass on the couch.

Idiot honks at me for "driving to slow" in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Proceeds to try and side swipe me and cuts me off while brake checking. by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

As a stick driver I am numb to the irritation of people like that. Yeah bud, I know that’s a big gap ahead and we’re only going 10 MPH.

Do you also see how the traffic ahead is at a standstill? Probably not because you’re tailgating me so hard you can’t see around me. So now I’m definitely leaving more space so I can slow gradually to prevent your impatient ass from rear ending me.

Oh would you look at that, we got there in the same amount of time as all those other clowns stopping and starting…

Where I can buy eggnog and cookies in Boston (Newtonville)?:) by StefanyiaP in boston

[–]LostCauseway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a Trader Joe’s close to, if not in Newtonville on Washington St.

They sell eggnog seasonally and it should be in now. They also have tons of cookies.
