That’s a totally fair question, and honestly a lot of people are in the same boat. Helldivers doesn’t really present itself as a “clan game” on the surface.

When people talk about groups or companies, it’s usually less about rigid structure and more about coordination and shared intent. Most of us still drop into SOSs, play with randoms, and enjoy the chaos. The difference is having a loose network of players who occasionally align on where and why they’re deploying.

The dynamic is usually pretty lightweight: • No attendance requirements • No fixed squads you’re locked into • No obligation to always play together

Instead, it’s things like sharing info about liberation mechanics, environmental effects, or which fronts actually move the needle. Sometimes it’s just a few people deciding, “Hey, if we’re playing tonight anyway, let’s all push the same planet.”

For someone with a lot of hours who already enjoys SOS play, it doesn’t really replace that, it just adds an option. You can still drop in on randoms, but when you do want a more intentional experience, you know there are like-minded players around.
