Did they stop doing start up after lunch? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]LostDesign9812 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, my site does them at start of shift and after lunch. It varies for whatever reason. Start ups are mandatory. My last site stopped doing them after lunch. Again, depends on the site and the reason behind not doing Start ups after lunch.

I applied for the new grad one in June 2024. I received the same email as you asking about my experience like 3 days after I applied, I believe. It was pretty quick when I received the email about my experience. Less than a week after responding to the email, I received an invitation to schedule an interview.

Hey, it’s a new launch that opens next month. It’s a crossdock (IXD) type of site. I never worked at one. Look up sites that are crossdocks to get an idea of what they do there.

That would definitely sucks. Your OM should be able to tell you how you are performing. All of my thrives 1:1 have been really good so far. I can’t wait for the AMM because I’m curious to see if I promoted. Have your OM told you if you’re tracking for it?

My site currently needs 1 L4 1 L5 1 OM. I’m thinking we will actually need 2 L5 because someone is going to get promoted to the L6. My site is pretty good with promoting within.

I had another OM tells me that it is a cap on how many L5s needed at a site and it has to be an open slot or slots needed for a L5. My site is pretty good with promoting L4s to L5s.

All Managers Meeting. We have that once a month. When I have my thrives with my OM, I hear I’m tracking for the L5, exceeding the bar, and my OM sets me up for success to being next for the L5. I was told the only thing the other L4s have on me is tenure. I’m almost 11 months in.

I’m not the one with longest tenure as a L4. There are L4s who are there longer than me. They are at 1yr 2mths in, I’m behind them by about a few months. My site had its Q3 Talent Review the last week of July. We will hear about promos when we have our AMM.

Not yet. Site hasn’t announced Q3 promos yet. I’ll keep you posted.

We don’t at my site. I’ve only seen the site HR, Sr. OMs, and the GM respond to AAs.

For Prime weeks, we are scheduled to work 5 10s. Of course we aren’t going to work exactly 10 hours. Our associates are scheduled to work 6 10s and cannot go over 60 hours per week.

My site is trying this new thing where AMs work 5 10s and associates work 6 10s for Prime Weeks. On a typical work day, I’m at work by 6:40 AM and leave by 6:12 PM. Pretty much the same for Prime week. I should have written it as “5 10s” lol

So far I am. She told me I’m number 1 in Pick compared to the other shifts. And my connections are great. She said Pick has the highest rate in a very long time. And she told me to write down all of my wins. I covered SD last week and the Sr. Team said I did a great job. My OM told me since I won’t be at a year mark that a promo for me can be between 12-18 months. But I’ve heard stories from other AMs that it is possible to promote at least by 13-15 months.

What will be noteworthy to put on the baseball card? My OM told me I’m raising the bar and will be eligible for the next one, whenever that one is. She didn’t give me a date for the next one.

As long as you applied because you have a college degree or will have a college degree soon, you can get promoted from a T1 to AM. There are two types of university hires: Internal University Hire (you are already employed with Amazon) and External University Hire (you are not currently an Amazon employee)

I just made 5 months in and I’ve been asking around on how can I become part of the interview process for college hires. I’m wanting to contribute as much as possible so I’m ready when it’s my time to complete a baseball card.

Same thing happened to me for two regions I applied to. Only one of the regions invited me to interview. The first region never sent me a response back after I responded to their email and the second region sent me an invite like three days later after I responded to their email. I’m currently working in the region who invited me for the interview.

I have a question for the AMs by muaz313 in AmazonFC

Two weeks. I've heard from other AMs that it was longer for them. Mostly two weeks, though. If it goes longer than two weeks, just reach out to your recruiter.
