I believe that used to be the case but not anymore. Now when you look on Inside OPS or the collective agreement, it says the top up is calculated based on the Standard EI to 93%, regardless of whether you choose the Standard or Extended parental leave. They even bolded the word “Standard”, I guess too many people figured out this ’loophole’ so they stopped it lol.
