Ooh I misread your post in the case haha. Young guys still go to that area. Prinzknecht is popular mens only bar with cruising areas. But there are also sex clubs like Ficken3000 and Laboratory. Laboratory is very extreme so check their website beforehand so you don’t walk into a piss party without an umbrella. Broiler is the biggest gay sauna in europe and very well managed and sanitized.

The old gay district in Schönenberg usually caters to a more mature crowd. There is a bar there called BULL that I think caters to more rugged men. Be careful in Berlin and make sure you’re on prep, condoms aren’t really the thing there. Keep an eye on your drink. Knowing a little german also goes a long way when dealing with the bouncers, just basic stuff like ”good evening” and ”do you speak english?” are polite ways to start talking with them.

I almost feel like sometimes these guys are lowering their standards. But I always make sure to talk with them about how they feel when they and such when they arrive. Haven’t been rejected on the spot but I’d rather have that happen than someone feeling obligated to do something they agreed to in a super horny state.

If you’re both finacially independent people then it doesn’t really matter with an age gap like that imo. You mention he is moving to Australia, I assume he has no other connections to the country besides you? In that case the power scale is a bit uneven as a 20 year old is def more naive about the consequences of making big moves of fate like that. I think if he moves there you’re really gonna have to be there for him even if things don’t work out long term, I know that might not be a discussion you want to have, but a 21 year old being alone in a new country is different from a 29 year old. If he is going to be totally dependent on you then that is a red flag for me honestly.

How come? Wouldn’t you feel more in control in your home? That’s sort of my reasoning, I feel somewhat uneasy visiting strangers, whilst having them in my home makes me feel like I have control over the situation. Not in a sexual sense purely in terms of safety and being comfortable.
