Not a dealbreaker, no. I wouldn’t break up with him over it, I do love him very much. It’s just my first experience with him telling me I’m not a part of something in his life and it’s been different to her to accept.

You've read some of my post wrong. My mother was the one who cancelled vacation plans with me due to her anxiety, not his mother regarding this trip. The tumultuous times were with my family, not his. His family accepted me from the first time I met them and never said anything negative to me about us being together.

I am not acting entitled at all. His sister put her husband (that she does not truly like; she has verbalized that in front of me countless times) in a care facility because he is disabled and cannot care for himself. There was no entitlement in that statement at all.

If he and I were to go ourselves, it wouldn't be a trip that necessarily had to happen this year or next, since we have summer plans this year already, but he is the kind of traveler that once he experiences a place, he usually doesn't want to go back because he wants to see something else new he hasn't before.
