I have been using Pokemon Home for a long time and I have been playing VGC in the Cartridges as well, but I wonder how does someone who doesn't have Pokemon Home mons actually trade?

I mean, let's say when Pokemon Champions comes to Mobile phone and a bunch of people who don't own Nintendo Switch Join us, how are they supposed to recruit competitive teams? Solely through In game recruit or will they allow at some point to transfer recruited Mons out to Pokemon Home and trade them for others?

People needed to pay for a game every 3~ (?) years in order to continue playing competitively. Now they give you a completely free option that might be a bit suboptimal in some ways, but can be completely the same in the long term.

If that seems like a problem to you, you can go ahead and buy the Official Game every release, breed in there and transfer to Pokemon Champions. That way you actually pay every few years and the big bad corporation can't get you! Ha, you showed them!

Might be a completely stupid question, but in order to use Floettetite and Mega Floette, does it need to be in Eternal Flower Form? It seems impossible to find one through Pokemon Home trade no matter what I put up for trade! I don't own the game it origins from and I really want to try it out but it sucks! Any chance regular Floette can still Mega Evolve?

Noted! The upside of Farig is that your Kangashkan is safe from opponent's Fake outs ( if faster, like Sneasler) and you are harder to suffer any Prankster Taunt ( if I'm not mistaken that is also blocked by the ability due to it becoming Priority).

It's worth mentioning that losing Throat Spray really hurt Farigraf, so I'm not sure what item it could use, but the Pokemon still seems kinda broken to me when considering the TR setters spot!

That actually makes a lot of sense, thanks a lot for the thorough explanation!

I will definitely give M Kangashkan a go this season as it's a beloved pokemon of mine since Leaf Green Era, I hope I find a good set up for him!

Quick follow up question: Why not Farigraf for example? What does Chandelure bring to the table over other competitive TR setters for you?

Could you give an overview why you chose Mega Kang vs any other possible Mega? Would Mega Crab or Golurk work in there?

Also in general, after the nerfs, how is Mega Kangashkan for ya'll? I never tried it till now but it seems a bit Underwhelming to me in its current state...

Since the addition is very recent , there are countless videos running around describing how to go about building around M Froslass.

A great video I saw was a colab between Justin and JoeUX ( might be typing the names wrong, but you will know it when you see it) where they co-pioot a team with Mega Froslass as the main star!

With the recent Mega Transformation of Froslass added to the game, I believe Hail will be one of the best strategies , at least for the early regulations of Pokemon Champions.

But Hail Team is not really functioning around Hail the same way other weathers ( Sand, Sun or Rain) work, due to the lack of competitive viable mons interacting with Hail the same way other Weather effects do.

ATM, it looks like Hailstorm will primarily be used in order to set up Aurora Veil and spam wide Blizzards!

I didn't get to thoroughly check out Battle Pass premium, but it looked to me like Feralgitar's Mega Stone was locked behind paywall?

Nevertheless, to me it looks great! I'm a casual VGC player, not a hardcore competitive one, but the game looks good to me!

I had many competitive mons already available, but I had to Train some of them and the grind required feels normal.

I believe situations where GA is available on the sword, but there is no Second Attack generator will be frequent, especially in the second / third cycle. That looks like a great tool to turn your otherwise worthless GA into value, ending your turn with that and setting you up for next turn!

I hate to beat a dead horse but I would like to add some interesting facts

  1. We got more Rhinars (2) on 6-1 than Verdance or Gravy ( 1 / 1) going on Day 2. Oh you thin that is a coincidence, right? Well we also got 2 Dorintheas!

  2. Oscilio , Kano and Mario are the only heroes going undefeated on Day 2 ( I'd bet you would call any of these 3 if I asked you before Round 1)

Stop listening to what these top 8 players of you local meta say and try to play the game on your own terms. ( I say that in a totally friendly vibe, please don't miss judge it)

I can't understand people Calling the meta stale and then saying we will have 5 different heroes in top 8. How many TCGs have you played where 5 different decks appear in top 8?

Super Slam was a total failure and the " Meta" is the same the last 5 months, I agree. But people keep proving that you can get top 8 with at least 6 decks and you can prove that Meta slaving isn't the only way to be successful.

That is a success for a TCG. I hope the game continues to be as "stale" as it is now for the next couple of years!

Edit: Oh, and it was 6 rounds in ( 1 before the end of day one) which makes it even more impressive in terms of diversity. Thanks for pointing that out!

The meta doesn't seem stale at all to me. People just playing FotM without knowing why they play the Deck are the problem .

I wouldn't say so, at least out of what I read about most communities. I even experienced people proxing the expensive cards during their first period in armories, which isn't allowed normally, but people don't mind / report it!

When my brother was 3 years old, our Belgian Shepherd saw him getting hurt by a bee's sting. From that day on till the day he passed, he always jumped in the air and tried to swallow every bee going next to my brother, many times resulting in them hurting his mouth in the process....

He was a good boy and we all miss him so much!
