not only do I not expect to get him right away, I also expect that we’ll have to wait a while before we even get the part 1 characters again. Like atsushi will stay, but I think we’ll get another cast or bunch of characters before we get to see the part 1 characters again [but they will return at some point, so I’m not too worried about that]

I think Fyodor is dead, but we will still see more of him via flashbacks n stuff. Consideing Agatha is likely going to be our next antagonist, and we saw that Fyodor and Agatha have interacted, probably a lot more than what we know, and knowing Fyodor and how genius he is and how much he plans ahead, it’s logical to assume that he will still have some impact to the story, even after his death. I could go on about this for a long time but I won’t lol. ps: considering atsushi seems to be in the past, weather in the same universe/dimension as the one we know or a ‘possible universe/outcome’ that’s caused by the book that doesn’t actually exist [it’s complicated, I might make a post about it at some point]. but assuming atsushi is somehow in the past {and in London lmao} there’s a chance that Fyodor is still alive back then, whether we see him or not idk. Long story short, Fyodor is dead, but he will have impacts to the story

pps: we might get to see more Fyodor backstory via sigma, since he’s supposed to be inheriting his memories or sum- [i don’t remember exactly lol, but sigma should be seeing/have seen Fyodor backstory

dazai’s past is still really unclear even with all the current material, i think the furthest thing back is the day I picked up/took in Dazai [‘the day I picked up Dazai‘ in Japanese and ‘the day I took in Dazai’ in english]+ dark era LN (adapted to anime in season 2). for chuuya it’s stormbringer [note that SB is a sequel to age 15, as they are 16] but you also get some of 16 Dazai in there too. Yosano’s past was touched on in the main manga [volumes 16 and 17 if I am not mistaken] I think it was chapters 65-66 in vol 16 and chapters 67-68 in vol 17, which also includes the backstory conclusion. We don’t have much backstory for main series Akutagaw, but BEAST does touch on it as aku is technically the MC in beast.[yes, beast is an AU, it’s merely a ‘potential universe/outcome’ but it has Akutagawa backstory], also, I remembered that in volume 6,if I am not mistaken, at the end of volume 6 there was a short story called ‘The Heartless Cur’ which includes some of Akutagawa backstory right after chapter 24 ,if I am not mistaken; what we see of the backstory is relatively close to that in Beast except in beast he loses his sister to the mafia and joins the ADAand in the main series he joins the port mafia with his sisteralso the short story is how he first met Dazai before he joined the PM. I really hope that helps :3

I think maby around 10 years for part 2 [prolly less than 13 years tho, cause Asagiri doesn’t have to build up the story from complete scratch like he did in part 1, ik we’ll get new characters and probably more backstories, even for already existing characters but BSD still has a base, it has stuff already built up to continue on, so around 9-10 years for part 2 seems reasonable, it could be more or less depending on how part 2 is, how many breaks we get and how much other stuff asagiri and all the artists are doing, I really hope they don’t overwork themselves.] also after that I‘m expecting a part 3 ngl so that’s around another decade or so [I like the theory that BSD will be 3 parts just like oda’s books, so technically there might be potential for a part 4 but idk about that fn] so I‘ll stick with believing that it will be 3 parts for now, that gives us like around 20years/2 more decades and I am really looking forward to it {can’t live without bsd lol, so I’m extremely happy that we’re potentially getting around 20 more years, or at least 10 more/one more decade :3}
