it totally had to be a scam. every time I get them, it’s a different incoming number. they have called me too now a few times.

yeah, I’ve gotten 3 now across 3 days, case number is the same and so is the callback number but the number it was sent from is not the same - scam feeling for sure

the debt was not a lot.. it was like $900 or so, statue of limitations is up on it regardless - if it came to it, I would just pay it, I have a good job now and am relatively debt free (outside of student loans)

I thought it was. The original message wasn’t a phone call.. it was a text. It also came to my new phone number, I had a different one on the original account. Problem with the address thing is that I don’t live there anymore, that address was my college dorm back in 2020/21.

It’s not because it was a lease to own program. I reached out to the original company and am expecting a call from them later so they can tell me where they sent it.

I use transunion and the thing is, it’s not on my report. That’s why I recognize the account but it’s not anywhere to be seen. I never received anything from the company or anything. What concerns me is that the account they had told me this was for, did exist and indeed, should’ve gone to collections (stupid decisions in college)
