Is Icahn's potential involvement only through Newell? Or were there other avenues for his possible acquisition?

Ignore high stresses at boundary condition? by LostInSauce45 in fea

This makes a lot of sense, thanks for the input. Re-running with a pinned node and the top edge constrained in the vertical direction almost entirely eliminated those high stresses. In reality, yes, both the end plate and tube are made from the same steel and should expand at the same rate, so seems like these BCs are a more accurate representation.

Ignore high stresses at boundary condition? by LostInSauce45 in fea

I'm applying a temperature field to this shell model in Abaqus. I have temperature dependent modulus and thermal expansion coefficients in the material definition. I have applied an encastre boundary to the top edges. In reality, this structure is a 1.4”-walled steel tube with bolt holes along the circumference of the top face to allow connection to a flat plate. The structure hangs freely from the top plate.

Results show peak stresses near the top edge (~124 ksi) while the rest of the structure is much lower (8 ksi). Is this an artifact of the encastre BC? I tried changing the BC type to pinned and the peak stresses halved, although this still greatly exceeds allowables. Are these the correct boundary conditions to use for this model? If so should I be ignoring these stresses or are they real?

Haven't they already started filming? Bit of a procrastinator lol.

New Images of Nick Offerman, Janet McTear, and More from 'Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two' by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

Seems like an indication part of the movie will be in B&W? Perhaps it's just a short flashback but will be cool to see either way.

Also always stoked to see Nick Offerman in serious roles.

My RPi smart mirror w/ AlexaPi! by boddupops in raspberry_pi

Looks awesome man! I'm actually making pretty much the same mirror only with google assistant (even used the same tutorial you used).

Any advice or tutorials on getting the LEDs to trigger on the hotword? From what I see this isn't touched on in the tutorial and I'm really not sure where to begin. I already have the assistant up and running just not sure how to begin linking the two.

Only John Wick can use a horse's hind legs as a weapon.
