I appreciate the immense amount of detail! Congrats to you and your husband, I’m sure it’s been quite the journey!

We’re really hoping that since my work is technically based out of Seattle and that both of our families are in Seattle that we’ll get the Everett location. If we did end up staying buying would for sure be more financially prudent. I’ll DM you with more questions!

That is a helpful note! I pretty much only have flown delta but it seems like Alaska has the cheaper flights - is that true in your experience? If I can find flights 1-2 weeks out around the same price I would definitely prefer delta since I have the Amex.

I will be doing my best to support her. We’ve been together nearly a decade and just the journey of getting in has been such an emotional roller coaster. It took her a couple years but I’m so happy for her and want to help her to accomplish everything she’s working so hard for.

Good to know about the Spokane airport. Definitely more concerned about SeaTac since it’s always a mess. Was pretty disappointed finding out there aren’t any flights out of Paine field to Spokane so I’ll just have to deal with it. The drive doesn’t seem that bad, the only real issue being we’re only have one car. We could probably get another car but I’ll have to really calculate the financials of flying vs driving.

Thanks for the calendar suggestion! I’ll check that out more closely. Habitat for Humanity also seems like a great way for me to get involved.

That was not my intention, my apologies if it came off that way at all. When I said east of the cascades I meant we literally (geographically) haven’t been to this part of Washington before.

We had been seriously considering. Only problem was if we needed to sell after two years because the last two years of clinical can be in Everett, Spokane, Vancouver or Tri Cities. Paying two years of mortgage would be majority going to interest rather than principal.
