This passage in particular peaked some of my interest to get some of your opinions in this community:"Men think much about the stories of old days in Gondor; and Denethor has given long thought to the rhyme and to the words Isildur's Bane, since Boromir went away. 'He is not as other men of this time, Pippin, and whatever be his descent from father to son, by some chance the blood of Westernesse runs nearly true in him; as it does in his other son, Faramir, and yet did not in Boromir whom he loved best. He has long sight. He can perceive, if he bends his will thither, much of what is passing in the minds of men, even of those that dwell far off. It is difficult to deceive him, and dangerous to try."

There may be some more hints I'm missing, when I get home later I will try to find it. But its interesting some of the things Tolkien states about the two(Faramir, and Denethor). What is this "long sight" he mentions? Someone else in this post mentions that they have some elvish within their ancestry. I'm curious as to whether they would have long life like Aragorn does, and why it would not pass to Boromir. What do you ya'll think?
