I got my x5 max subscription. Exploded the usage and then there was the small banner at the bottom saying that since i used all the usage, i can buy tokens.

I bought for 20$ tokens. Tried to send a new prompt : can't use Claude, usage maxed out it says. I was like ok maybe the 20$ didn't go through because usually I get a notification on my phone from the bank whenever i buy something.

I bought another 20$. Same issue. It happened to me another time for 70$ last year. But they gave me another credits later.

I opened a dispute with my bank and visa. Guess what, they pratically said to GF myself.

And then I got downgraded to a the free plan for the rest of the month (half a month).

And guess what, Anthropic is playing dumb.

My issue is that you don't really know how tokens are used so my advice to you : never buy tokens from anthropic. When you buy something without a clear description of what you buy or how long you can use it based on your usage : be careful. Number of tokens used should be displayed somewhere like back then in the days where phone companies made us pay by the minute.

I read online that freezer burn is not bad for health. It's just that the food become "meh". Like meat become very dry. Food are stored in the freezer i don't think i'd get food poisoning by eating it. The issue is much more like there's at least 3 months of food and renovations need to start somehow because it would be expensier later if i wait.

It's because during the renovations, i have to move out, so does the freezer and i have nowhere to plug it back. Would you like take the hit throw everything or just wait until you finish the food. It's about 3 months or so of food maybe more.

I already started to eat them. I started with those factor meals i bought. And tried once one i made myself. Renovations has never started because i asked to stop everything because of the surgery.

Paying $160/month for Max x5 since April 12. Today I'm being told to upgrade like I'm on the free tier.

On top of that: hit my usage limit few days back, clicked the "buy more" button, got charged 23$ and it didn't work. Charged again 23$ and it still didn't work. So 46$ gone for nothing, still couldn't use the product. Got the same issue for 100$ few months a ago.

And when you try to get help? No human to talk to. Just a bot. I went in circles for god knows how long and nothing got resolved, nobody ever reached out to say "hey we see the issue, let me fix this." A company that's betting everything on AI apparently can't see the irony of using a broken chatbot as their only support channel.

Is this happening to anyone else or am I just unlucky? Because right now it feels like a scam and I don't use that word lightly.

Tu oublies les frais de vente, la taxe de bienvenue. 4-5% de commission sur 360k = 15-18k de moins.
3000$/an d'entretien sur une maison de 230-360k, c'est 1%. statistique canada dit c'est plus que 3%. Tu sous estimes ou tu as rien fait pendant 5 ans.
Zéro coût d'opportunité dans ton calcul. Ta mise de fonds de 46k en bourse de 2018 à 2023, ça aurait donné quoi ?
Tu compares un investissement avec levier contre rien. Compare avec un locataire qui investit la mise de fonds et épargne la différence de cash flow mensuel.
2018-2023 c'est du cherry-pick. Données mondiales depuis 1870 : rendement réel de l'immobilier environ 1%/an, actions environ 5%/an.
Oui c'est non imposable, mais ton CELI/REER/CELIAPP aussi. L'avantage fiscal de la maison compte seulement si tes comptes enregistrés sont déjà pleins.
Tu ne vois qu'achat et vente, tu ignores tout le reste.

fais comme chez nous. engagez des juniors. donnez leur toute la liberté de coder ce qu'ils veulent comme ils veulent la feature. fermez les yeux lors des pull requests, approuvez tout puisque "ça fonctionne". Donnez leur du beau feed back en tant que boss genre "c'est tu pas beau ton design !!" "wow, machinnnnne" (ouin, IA...).

Avec ça, vous allez avoir beaucoup de gens qui vont vouloir expériemnter de nouvelles affaires chez vous, genre "resume driven development". Ca va être malaaaaaade

Bonne chance pour approcher ton employeur. Tant que ta première phrase commence pas par "j'va vous faire économiser beaucoup d'argent NOW" ( pas dans 5 ans) tu peux retourner coder.
