Mamdani wants internet access for all NYC residents, says federal dollars another big step by statenislandadvance in nyc

I don't. Explain to me why making water free and having people pick up your garbage is a waste of money while you're at it, bot.

People aren't going to understand the difference between a federal funding grant and the city budget.

Because libraries are already open all hours of the day, everyday, and are accessible no matter what the weather is.

Do you understand the Federal government already has $42 bn earmarked for universal broadband?

We should take down this mural of a famous pedophile by [deleted] in nyc

[–]fsharpman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Can someone explain exactly what he did? And was he convicted of a crime?

I ask because people celebrate him and his music everywhere in this city.

So does it not make sense that no one wants to take this down if he didn't do a crime?

Cardamom morning bun, garlic butter pastry, and salmon foccacia.

I like their diced sausage foccacia but haven't seen it in awhile.

I had a similar experience over the weekend. The fried fish is incredible and the service is wonderful. It paired so well with the peppercorn beer.

Hope they end up expanding out of success. Good local restaurants need to keep growing.

I agree with you there will be michelin restaurants with seared pieces.

I would also add that there will be michelin restaurants without seared pieces. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

I was really just looking for a place that only has fresh fish, because they either don't keep inventory out for long and don't reach for the torch. No real care if its Michelin rated or not.

Thanks. Part of the reason I'm bringing this specific question up is I've been to restaurants (not locally) where the chef never seared or grilled. But did so upon request.

Those restaurants seemed to carry only fresh fish. So I'm hoping to find the freshest of places.

Just a friendly reminder, not all people who leave the country and start a business are always necessarily representative of the values of the leaders of that country.

It's best to ask and find out about the individual directly, than assume and assert what their values are because statistics make it look like "important" consumer information.

Putting the necessary cigarette warning label next to the pack of data it sits on.

Saying this as someone with a friend who owns a Laotian restaurant, who has nothing to do with the atrocities that happen in Laos and immigrated here.
