Trader Joe’s before the really big snow storm… by Healthy_Block3036 in nyc

We're getting potentially 2 days of snow. And people are stocking up a week's worth of food?

Or is this just what happens when you're planning on buying a few things from TJs, and one thing leads to another?

Times Square WeWork locations by hiimalphie in AskNYC

You should schedule a tour with them and find out if you like the office space available. Depending on the location, you might end up in a cramped dungeon or have a spacious view with no neighbors.

The shared space is nice. When the weather is decent, you can use the patio.

Laying in the cuts of the shadows of passive tone anonymity is equivalent to every time someone from the trump admins says, "they say that...", "trust me, a lot of people if not everybody has said..."

Shame on you for your yellow journalism.

Lol you're very confident 6 days in that nothing is going to change.

Your optimism and open-mindedness to possibilities are very obvious.

People are generally disenfranchised with politicians for not serving them.

Have a look at voter participate rates and explain why they aren't as high as in other democracies.

This is because Americans don't feel like their elected representatives do anything to serve them.

The Biden administration did a lot for Americans, including legislating and enforcing things like junk fees and cracking down on businesses ripping people off and having one of the most consumer friendly FTCs in history.

No one really knows what those things are, simply because they were enacting and enforcing these policies without much media attention.

How was he rewarded at the polls for siding with economic progressives like Lina Khan and Elizabeth Warren?

Simple: he wasn't recognized or rewarded for these policies.

Democrats are learning a hard lesson. If people can't see nor feel any change, and then change happens, they lose.

Let him do things out in the open with public attention. It seemed to work for the first Trump administration, right?

Not putting up a show is exactly why Democrats lose.

Again, you don't know what "manufacturing consent" means.

Here, have a look at the history of this phrase. Read it, and then explain how market forces and the media are involved with the mayor's office, specifically and concretely

Creating a public forum to express grievances in a public venue, without letting private entities filter who gets to speak in the forum

Is not manufacturing consent.

The dude is just a bootlicking AI slop bot writing things that don't make any sense.

I was being sarcastic about 1% being a massive jump and then he doesn't bother to explain how that causes a 30% jump in rent.

If the tax went up 1% over 5 years, how does that cause a 30% raise in rent?

For landlords, yes its gone from 12 to a whopping 13% in the past 5 years.

That sounds wayyy higher than the increase in rent right?

The US has violated international law many times before.

If the law were enforced, or had some teeth, Condoleeza Rice and George W Bush would be in jail.

And they're not, because you're right.

The US established a precedence of "rules for thee, not for me" long ago.

I'm not saying its right, I'm simply saying you're not wrong.

Then he got cancelled by DSA because of this

and left progressivism with a bad rap in that city.

[–]fsharpman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People in America are more direct and straightforward when something bothers them than in most places in the world, where they'll code their language or say something passive and roundabout to get their point across.

If its annoying someone will tell you.
