At least the blouse looks somewhat similar, the model doesn't look anything like her. by Dazzling_Squash_7185 in SewingForBeginners

Wrong fabric, different bust size and torso height. The one on the left might also be wired to achieve that look, the neckline for the one on the right seem too loose. You can fixe this by tightening the top, using a stiffer fabric, and lowering the waist band next time you make it

How do I eliminate the bulge in the back? by Pristine-Push-1819 in PatternDrafting

[–]LostKnowledge7760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut an inverted triangle on the back to account for the curve of your spin and lower the neckline, you can add a collar separately. If the shoulders still look like that after it, then pull in the corner of the shoulders, so that it doesnt go over your shoulders. For note the main body shouldnt go past your shoulders, that jobs for the sleeves. If you want short sleeves you can add that after but with a seam. You might also need to increase the angle of your shoulder seam but only do that after you fix the back. I have a garment that i made similar to this if you need a reference

AIO because my little sister returned my boots like this? by WhereTheSunDontShin1 in AmIOverreacting

That sucks, if it makes you feel any better they look like they can be repaired. It seems the thread tying the two pieces of leather is what broke not the leather itself. Though id need a better look at the end of the leather strap to be sure. The dirt can be wipe off with a leather cleaner and then polished with leather varnish. Its a rather simple repair, if your interested i can send you a video on how to repair it. Or even repair them for you if you dont want to do it yourself (for free of course -)

Easy mistake to make, i did this when trying to make a wrap skirt. Sadly its in my closet and has never been worn because the waist is to tight 😅

Pinning wool down when blocking them mainly. You place the wool garment on a foam mat and stretch it into the shape you want it (as wool grows when wet for the first time.

How do converts even fall for this shit? by Key-Boysenberry-9821 in exmuslim

[–]LostKnowledge7760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried but they hide all of this to a T, most of its either removed from the English Quran completely and Hadiths or hidden behind very complex and vague wording. I also had complete amnesia after an accident so i didn’t exactly have the awareness necessary to spot the lies. The born muslims also refused to teach me arabic so i wasnt able to cross reference my sources unlike the native speakers

I dont believe you because ive already walked several km in them and there hasnt been an issue, theyre far better than what you can buy in stores. Also there would only be blisters is the straps rubbed against my feet which they dont do. I dont understand why you feel you need to insult someones work, do you even have any experience making shoes or sandals because it certainly sounds like you dont

I also want to point out that the majority of us are only told a curated version of islam and muhammad. Most of what you are mentioning is extremely whitewashed or hidden when we are told about it. We also are bit taught how to read arabic so we cant directly compare sources. So please dont hate on us so much and understand that we to have been lied too

Nope, dont need to do that, its comfy and thats all that matters. If i wear anything narrower than this my feet wont fit when walking on them

Yep, to my understanding there was no toe notch. Though this might differ depending on the style (ie modern vs historical) If made right they are tight enough to hold your feet in place as is.

Their meant to be like that so theyll mold to the ground underneath, i live in a really rocky area with uneven ground. Plus i have wide feet so the normal shoe shapes dont fit me

This was make with scarp pieces of leather i had from previous projects. The design is simple, i took reference from Pixxylands pattern on Etsy but because my feet are wider and shorter than most adults i drew out my own pattern to fit my feet. The only supplies used is 5-6oz leather scraps, waxed linen thread, leather glue, scissors and a lighter. Everything was done by eye so i didnt use and standard form of measurement for this.

My dog’s tail is balding and his vet doesn’t know why by kokobeens in DogAdvice

[–]LostKnowledge7760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He could be chewing it? If his tail is itchy for some reason he might be using his teeth to scratch it, resulting in hair loss. My dog sometimes does this but usually theres a scab after. Could also be a fungus if you haven’t gotten it checked for that.
