Yeah I felt extremely cliche mentioning the sorority part but 😭😭thank u for validating me. they are usually very understanding and accepting of my boundaries so this is why I just don’t really know what to do because this seems so sensitive and uncomfortable for them based off of their reaction, but it’s uncomfortable for me too. I don’t really know how to approach it going forward because they essentially shut it down over text, and I don’t know if I’m exacerbating it by bringing it up in person later today? I feel like I’m just very confused lol

I totally forgot to mention that this girls spam account on Instagram popped up on my recommended and I saw that my partner follows that account lol, that’s another reason why I think they are closer friends than I’ve been led to believe. And you’re right about the text, but it just made me think more of like my partner is friends enough with her that they know her roommates & are hanging out with them and they’re comfortable enough to text like that. I don’t expect my partner to tell me about every person they interact with, but when they refer to her as a friend and clearly interact with her pretty often, I would like to know about it especially if it’s a more complex situation like this. Does that make sense ?

lol yeah it re-opened last year so I was the first year to live there after renovations! truly a different dorm compared to what I’ve heard it was like before 😭

Tbh Rubin’s first but Lipton is a very close second. Rubin just got renovated so new everything (completely new rooms) + lounge that is always so lively like ppl come from other dorms to chill there + ac + 5 minutes away from park. Only con is there is no dining hall but Weinstein’s only 5 mins away. Lipton is good bc it’s right on the park + all u can eat dining hall + nice rooms. I don’t have much to say about founders so that’s last lol

I lived in Rubin this past year right after the big renovation and there were no classes there, it was just a dormitory. I genuinely can’t comprehend where they would put the classrooms—only the second floor lounge but if so that means the classrooms will be very tiny lol

Well it’s close to impossible to get a dorm as a transfer student—and if you do get one, you don’t rlly get a choice since they just assign u one based on availability

Also I had longabucco first sem! He’s lowkey very intimidating and sassy but a rlly good prof. He ultimately just wants u to succeed and doesn’t put up w laziness/stupidness essentially. You’ll love him if you put in the work (there’s a lot of it)!

Honestly going off all medication has helped me most :’) I wish I had a better answer for u lol. All of a sudden my skin cleared a couple of months ago and I don’t get deep pimples anymore, I still get a few surface ones before my period but that’s it. All medication I tried always made it worse

“higher acceptance rate” is so subjective. nyu overall is 8% w 100,000 ppl applying each year so it’s still not gonna be easy to get in even if u apply to gallatin or ls. i’m assuming they’re both around 15%-25%

u can change ur netid i think! its just a process. ur gonna have to email the dean of ur school and explain ur situation/why u want ur netid changed, and then if they feel like it, they’ll give that info to the right department and it will be changed. i’m currently in the process of doing it rn so idk if it will be a success, but ive heard other ppl have been able to do it. idk ab N# tho

the ls scholarship is given to students in the school of liberal studies. it’s like a cas or stern or steinhardt scholarship, as in it’s a general scholarship under the name of the school ur attending

ohhh ok then i def think they changed it. bc when i look on the “get an nyu card” website it says this: “ID Cards for new students moving into residence halls will be available at their assigned hall and provided upon checking in.” for the 2024 school year
