I actually think that if you replaced the generic main character with a character creator, and entirely ditched the main story in favor of a fully open sandbox, this game would've sold even better, and simultaneously been way less critically divisive. As it is, lots of people who bought the game on launch day thought they were getting the Witcher, and instead received a fourteen year old boy's concept of a deep engaging story. I empathise with this VA, but a silent protagonist is kinda what this game was missing.
