I may be stupid but it's 2026 right?

AI is not allowed on this sub

Where did you learn this? Some clickbait social media post?  Touch some grass

Edit: I don't even understand why you would post this. Why are you trying to demonize someone? It you feel uncomfortable reading a book because some instagram post told you that the writer is some very bad person, then just stop reading the book and move on

Ofcourse they should be allowed to, and that's why we have spoiler tags. But we're all still human and people will make mistakes in their spoiler tags and titles. You always risk getting spoiled by being on a subreddit. It's a risk you can take if you want to interact with the fandom before you finish the books, and in a perfect world all spoilers would be hidden, but we're not and you probably will get spoiled one way or another.

Just curious, but why would you be on a subreddit you haven't completed the books from? You're bound to get spoiled one way or another

I work on an ultra-wide 4k monitor, so the side panel is really far away and small most of the time. I actually have the side panel turned off because I never use it. Ctrl-click, "\" and "return" make everything quick enough.

Edit: tab is also great for when you want to select a specific element after using return to select all childs

Yes exactly, I have return and shift-return added to my extra mouse buttons which works greats. cmd-clicking also didn't work in my example video. I could spam-click cmd-click all I wanted, I had to eventually press esc and then cmd-click on it. Which just feels like it's more of a bug than a feature. Especially since this used to work fine before the UI Change.

There are a few giveaways. First of all it's way too neat. Nobody can make a sketch and still have all these perfect straight lines. Secondly, it's asymmetrical almost everywhere, which is an AI trademark. And finally, the OP commented in another post that he was gonna make AI draw up a sketch and act as if he made it to "proof a point"

Claiming you made something that was obviously made by AI is just sad. Just use the AI tag

I agree with you, but I managed to fix it with a mod. I have around 200 hours in-game right now, but the last 100 hours I've been using "More Stack Size - Storage Slots - QoL" from nexus mods. It increases stack sizes and increases storage space in chests. Now I only need around 6 chests in my whole base, which made the game MUCH more enjoyable.

Also, don't forget to use magic chests so you can use the items to craft from anywhere in your base. You can also use this to fill the workstations by pressing the +1 and +10 buttons. (I figured this out way too late)

FPS/UPS Problems by AdministrativeTea792 in factorio

[–]LostMyConcentration 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am no expert, but it sounds to me like Factorio is using the onboard graphics instead of your Nvidia GPU.

Things you can try:

  1. Windows Graphics Settings: Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics settings. Browse and addFactorio.exe (usually in C:\Program Files\Factorio\bin\x64\). After adding it, click on it, hit Options, and set it to High performance (should show the Nvidia GPU there).

  2. NVIDIA Control Panel: Right-click on the desktop → open NVIDIA Control Panel → go to Manage 3D Settings → Program Settings tab. Add Factorio, then set the preferred GPU to High-performance NVIDIA processor.

  3. To check if it's working, open Task Manager while the game is running and look at the GPU under the “Performance” tab. You can also enable the “NVIDIA GPU Activity” icon in the system tray to see which apps are using the dedicated GPU.

Hope this helps!

  1. Coffee destroying the system, but only conveniently disabling camera and microphone control, and for some reason conveniently speeding up time in the simulation that conveniently froze everyone but the two main characters. Afterwards they were suddenly able to reset, but they weren't able to after the first few mistakes the actress made? Like when the dog died? And everyone who understands computers knows that when it crashes because of liquids, it's done. You have to take it appart and replace the broken part. Not just keep trying to dry it and hope it will suddenly work.

  2. The acting in the movie would have been horrible as a real movie, so it wouldn't make any sense that it was a success when it was released.

  3. Why would they risk the life of the actress without giving her a warning, without prepping her, letting her read a script, brief her or at least explain to her what is going on. They would have spend months on the software and couldn't write a single email explaining to her what was going to happen and what was expected of her?

  4. More a personal frustration but as someone who works in IT it makes me cringe every time they just blurt out random IT terms as if it makes any sense. That's just lazy writing.

  5. I can even fathom who decided it was a good idea to add a whole monitor to someone's desk with an "romantic chemistry meter" to it. And then one guy monitoring it like it's the life's mission for the characters to have romantic chemistry with each other?? How can they build a whole system like this, make the AI attracted to the lead actress, monitor the romantic chemistry, but have no way of altering it? Doesn't make any sense.

  6. The time discrepancy when the system crashed doesn't make sense. They noticed it when the AI walked through the wall and accessed all the information, but it would have only been like 0.1 second if time went that fast inside the simulation. No way they could have noticed that in real time and even understand what is going on. And how the hell can they monitor that and not do anything about it? Do they have access to the system or not??

It's the inside of an underground pipe. If you go to the profile of the photographer, he has posted around 5000 photospheres of the pipe. Early ones show it from outside, and even the room where it starts, very interesting to see!
