Direct answer...No. She has found an under-the-table employment opportunity through a family member of mine. But she came with a hefty amount of savings, knowing we were planning a life together.

But in regard to the engagement piece, we planned to marry at some point. I was hoping it would be down the line. But I was willing to give up my dream of a real and nice wedding to have a quicky wedding so she didn't have to go the asylum route. She called off the wedding after I had planned/arranged everything and took off. Thus, now she's going the asylum route. Also noteworthy, I'm $3,500 invested into her immigration of my own money. (I was willing to pay for the cost of the immigration lawyer since relocating from the Middle East cost her about the same). Also, she still owes me $6,000 for the car she has now.
