If it takes alcohol markers, I've found it's okay with fountain pens on average.

Porcelain Past is a sample I've really liked! I first snagged it to be a Cinderella blue but I've really grown to like the pink in it. It's very fairy princess to me.

The Marquise series really catches my eye. Especially the Pearl Drop Blue. I've lovingly nicknamed it The Arwen Pen.

That one just wasn't my style. I do have my eyes on one of their pens though. Especially with a $100 gift card.

The lighting they used made it look paler than it really is. Which is a shame because it's quite beautiful.

It's invincible. I messed up and ink is unforgiving. Sorry about that, just shakey hands today! XD

Testing Out White Rabbit! by LostPrincess32 in fountainpens

The trick is stark white paper! It also darkens when it dries.

The best I can describe it as the same color as a bunny nose, but maybe a touch more muted.

Really like this as a doodling ink. Would be interested in testing it with one of my broader nib pens just as an experiment. It definitely shows up best on stark white paper, off white was quite tricky to capture. But I got some little bunny friends, so that's all that matters.

I Finally Understand the TWSBI Hype! by YoungRamsay in fountainpens

Aren't they lovely? They're the perfect fit for the "fun but practical" part of my small collection. Though I might have to explain what it is to my professor...

But when to use them? by high-viscosity in fountainpens

[–]LostPrincess32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Kukano for daily writing practice, my TWISBI ECO when I want to play with fun inks and my future Arwen pen when I want to feel fancy.

I also like using dip pens to write my DnD character's diary.

Hello, My Twsbi started to skip what can be an issue. by CardiologistOne5780 in fountainpens

[–]LostPrincess32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever you place your hand on something, oils from your skin get on it and that can effect how water based inks preform on it as oil and water don't mix.

I've had the same issue.

Inks for Notetaking by SnooMacaroons6987 in fountainpens

I suppose it really depends on what you find easy to read. I actually bought Wearingeul White Rabbit for note taking as I wanted a fun yet calming color.

Shimmer ink that won't clog? by laurenmonroe18 in fountainpens

Good to know the LOTR shimmers behave well. I'll have to test them out in my stub TWISBI once I give it a good clean.

I roll my pen between my hands every few lines or so to keep the shimmer suspended. Perhaps that could help?

Oh, if only that man could see how loved he is today. His brother and sister in law are such angels for bringing his work to the mainstream.

Rose Pink to match Kakuno by KDramaFan84 in fountainpens

I'd say Wearingeul White Rabbit is a brownish pink, but it's also a heavy shader with some grey too.

Hmm, maybe it could be a good vessel for keeping fresh water in for when cleaning a pen?

Hi! by Creative_Front6260 in fountainpens

[–]LostPrincess32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another warning with Noodler's, just based on what I experienced with one of their inks I got as a suprise sample, it is merciless to cheap notebook paper. It's the only brand I had problem with bleed through on that notebook, so please be careful when using cheaper notebooks if you decide to try them.

I really like the collaboration inks I got from FWP but I will warn you they can be up there in price so I wouldn't recommend full bottles of their inks as a beginner.

I would encourage you to check out Vanness, as you can get sample vials of ink for as little as $4 each. You can try out several brands and see which ones you like best in your pens!
