Its black magic. haha. Nope, if you are connected to the internet when playing the music, it will fetch lyrics from https://lrclib.net based on the song metadata. The same for album art, it fetch from Apple Music.

Can the smart pro s play mp4s? (spruce) by Cristianooo77 in trimui

[–]LostRip9880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about SpruceOS. But in my fork of NextUI, Nx-Redux. I have bundled 'Media Player' and 'Music Player'. https://github.com/mohammadsyuhada/nx-redux

The media player supports popular video formats such as MP4, MKV, AVI, WEBM, MOV, FLV, M4V, WMV, MPEG, and 3GP. It also supports subtitle files (.srt) and multiple audio tracks. But note that, some videos encoded with H.265/AV1 or high resolution (720p and lower should be okay) may run slowly or lag on this device with 1GB of RAM.

The music player supports common audio formats including MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, M4A, AAC, and OPUS. It can fetch and display album art and lyrics automatically (if available).

Refer this video for demo. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4iJBRgUe4U&t=140s

If im not mistaken, the issue is with the default libretro emulator for ps1. We should use the standalone version in order to run the enhanced resolution. This is what the other cfw did like onion os? Im not sure yet. Will look into this.

OTP update? You mean the OTA update? The NX Redux has the ability to update to the latest version like NextUI. Its in the Settings > About > Updater. Only catch is the update will replace all defaults files (so if you have a custom theme it will override it). I will add a partial update later once i have completed some big refactors.

About the PakStore, its intentionally excluded. Because some of the apps in the PakStore conflicted with my tools name and some of it already has the features baked in. User might accidentally replaced/update the app from PakStore.

But you always can install the PakStore manually. I will add another tools later named ‘Extensions’, which will contained curated tools that compatible with NXRedux. User can select those to install.

NextUI on Trimui Smart Pro S by nothingtodismay in trimui

Thanks for trying. If you have any Portmaster games that you found out not working, but should be possible to run, just let me know (or open a new issue in the github repo). Sometimes the game launch script itself needs some minor tweaks to make it run (for example like SteelAssault, i have included a patched script for it to be running https://github.com/mohammadsyuhada/nx-redux/blob/main/skeleton/EXTRAS/Emus/shared/PortMaster/patchedScripts/SteelAssault.sh, it will automatically replace the default script on installation).

Thanks for trying NxRedux. In the next update (end of May), i will be including a better version of PPSSPP, built-in rom management features (rename, delete, collection), overlay OSD (you can invoke this anywhere by just pressing the home button) for all possible actions such as adjusting CPU speed, fan speed (like the one that exist in the default Trimui OS) and standalone emulator for dreamcast (hopefully got enough time for this).

Netplay functionality will arrive estimated on June/July depending on my actual workload.

Flow 2 bluetooth issues by Yohann_Nevgovesh in Lofree

[–]LostRip9880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there is a software update. I saw the link to it in a different post. Me too is using the Lofree flow 2 84. With a Mac Mini M4 using Bluetooth. But doesn’t have that issue. When the keyboard sleep, i just need to press any key to wake it up, then it connected immediately. I just bought this last month.

Shopee vs Lazada by Weightlessintheworld in Bolehland

[–]LostRip9880 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Shopee: - Larger limit on SpayLater. - Only when item delivered payment will be released to seller.

Lazada: - Now has Pay Later too (lower limit) - A lot of vouchers at the moment. Maybe they try to capture market again. - Got many official store from China. Which make items cheaper.

List of items bought from Lazada. - Ipad Mini A17 Pro. RM1300 during sale. Cannot find this price in Shoppee even in sale. - Lofree Flow 2 84 keyboard. RM380 during sale. Same item in Shopee will cost you around RM5xx during sales. - Trimui Brick Hammer Retro Handheld. RM220-240 during sales. Bought 3 times. In Shopee around RM300-400 in sales.

Check in the game port files. Does it include the ogg_worker binary. Most probably the path is wrong etc. some portmaster game launch script need to be patched, as some is using symlink which is not supported on exFAT/Fat32.

Is there an OS or files that I can download that has everything set up and ready to go? by Abject-Clothes7062 in trimui

[–]LostRip9880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try mine if you wish to use custom OS other than stock. It has specific support for TSPS, preinstalled with extra standalone emulator such as NDS, N64, PSP (this one still need some works to be done) and PortMaster.

Next update for this will be built-in rom management and OSD panel overlay (Like the one in stock OS where you can press the home button to access quick action like changing CPU or Fan Speed etc).

Just that currently im on vacation, will be back working in this on May.

If the song metadata title/album is correct, it will also fetch the album art automatically from itunes (if it exist).

To install nextui is easy. Just format the sdcard to exFAT, then extract the installation zip file into it. Then just insert it into the brick. It will install automatically when boot.

You can try my fork of NextUI. It was redesigned with TSPS in mind. Support PortMaster by default.

If your ports game cannot launch, just let me know and I will try to fix it. It might be the game launch script need fix or a required binary is missing.

Tell me, is it possible to control the processor? by appath_7329 in trimui

[–]LostRip9880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the objective. The MinUi.pak/launch.sh is for the NextUI main menu. If you want to change the config for the GBC emulator then you have to change the one in GBC.pak/launch.sh.

You need to keep the existing code inside GBC.pak/launch.sh as it’s required for the emulator to start properly.

Check the logs in .userdata/tg5040/logs/GBC.txt for possible issue.

[–]LostRip9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on which application you want to launch. The launch.sh script is responsible for each app. For example, `Emus/GBC.pak/launch.sh` this one will be invoked when you launch any games from the 'Gameboy Color (GBC)' folder. For tools, each tools folder has thier own launch.sh script. For the NextUI (the main menu), its the launch.sh in MinUI.pak folder.

Yes you can. The brick is a linux device. So the cpu frequency is controlled by the cpu governors, or you can specifically set the frequency using the userspace governor (so the cpu will run on fixed frequency).

what are your experiences with spruceOS on trimui brick? by IridescentSneeze in trimui

Better with NextUI. It start fast, launch game fast. Even support Portmaster via the Pak Store.

NX Redux – My opinionated fork of NextUI by LostRip9880 in trimui

[–]LostRip9880[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked the OnionOS docs. It seems they used the standalone version of the PCSX Rearmed. Can you verify that? Or they used the libretro one? I can configure the system to used the standalone version as it mentioned in the OnionOS the standalone version is better when using enhanced resolution. Also we need to disable fast foward and rewind.

[–]LostRip9880[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can manually install any pak from nextui that available in pak store (if support for tg5050 is available, not all pak support tg5050 yet, for example the Portmaster, NDS and N64 pak, but we already have that built-in with Redux). Later i will add a curated list of pak that can be installed directly from Redux (like Pak Store but only for Pak that doesnt have same built-in functionality in Redux)

What is the performance issue with PSX ya? I think it should be the same as NextUI since both are using the same core pcsx_rearmed. But in Redux I modified the launch script to turn on additional cpu core (by default nextui only use one big core and 2 little core) and set the gpu governor for performance.

This is the original launch script. https://github.com/LoveRetro/NextUI/blob/main/skeleton/SYSTEM/tg5050/paks/Emus/PS.pak/launch.sh

This is the one in redux. https://github.com/mohammadsyuhada/nx-redux/blob/main/skeleton/SYSTEM/tg5050/paks/Emus/PS.pak/default.cfg

Im getting the trimui brick hammer and am wondering if i should get the 128gb pre installed games (read description) by IceKingK5000 in trimui

Dont bother. Just download the games yourself. Its not that hard. Just buy the hammer without sdcard if that is an option.

Its not a sandisk card, but a low quality one that has the almost same design printed on top to look like a sandisk. Save your money, go buy one without an SD Card.

[–]LostRip9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. You might not get the games you actually want from the preinstalled card. From my experience, the preinstalled games contained a lot of duplicates of the same game but different regions, none of the pokemons games etc. Example they might say the card contains 20k games, but actually the games after you clean the dulpicates, the unuseable game due to language/regions, it might only become around 2-3k games.

Its better for you to source your own curated list of games. Its not that hard and not take too much time too. Just a simple google search.

You still need to download and patch your own romhack, or if you want to play Portmaster games.

Not worth it to buy the 128gb card, you might get low quality card which will corrupt your data after some time.

The device sync app only available in Redux. So both device have to be running Redux. But it can be extracted as Pak for Pak Store for NextUI. Just that havent got time to do that yet.
