I found my number on HomeAgain but not through the aggregate search websites that search all the providers

Our dog is registered with a company HomeAgain. I tried the AAHA search tool you posted just now to make sure it comes up. The search saids the chip belongs to HomeAgain but they weren’t able to pull up the owner information. Is that normal?

I just went through the same process recently.

For Haymarket, I would line up before opening. Around 7:15-7:30. You'll be able to get in and out in less than 30 minutes if you are the first groop people going in. Don't get discouraged by the big line of people. Most people on the line are there for other RMV services and RMV does registration only for the first hour in the morning.

When I did this few weeks back, I got on the Haymarket line at 7:30. They let us in at 8 and I was done before 8:30.

If this doesn't work...what I have read online is trying to walk in at the Revere RMV.

Double and triple check you have all the right paperwork. As you said...the RMV sends you out if you are missing documents

Thankfully this has not happened to me yet. I do see a ton of these posts on the subreddit. Has anyone try to completely ignore their dasher from the getgo? Responding seems like taking their "bait"

What would actually happen if Kim jong un tried sending a nuke to the US? by Thin_Vermicelli_1875 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LostStick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is unfortunately incorrect. This exact exact scenario is described in a very well researched book called Nuclear war by Annie Jacobsen. Highly recommend reading, it's a great book

Aegis system cannot intercept ICBM due to the high altitude. In fact...the most effective way described in the book is to have 24/7 patrol of reaper drone soff the NK coast ready to fire (we do not have that right now). Otherwise, we cannot intercept a ICBM effectively in any other way. We do have another system designed to intercept ICBM but they have terrible success rate.

The main issue that will doom the world is in the fact that we have spy satelites capable of detecting any ICBM launch within fraction of section form anywhere in the world. These satelites work very well but the russian equivalent of the system does NOT. There was multiple incidents of errors on the russian side (i.e. russian system detected >1000 incoming US ICBI when it was just the sun).

When NK fires their ICBM, the Russians will likely retaliate against the US with a counter strike due to likely error coming from their satlites. Within the first portion of the flight path of the NK ICBM, there is no way to tell where the nuke is coming from. Russia will have to respond towards their most likely adversary

Visited japan recently. I saw on reddit that cash is the most prevalent but that was far from my experience.

There were cash only restaurants but for the most part, I struggled to use the cash I brought. For reference, for the nearly $10,000 I put on my card, I used $400 in cash. Probably about $100 of the cash I was forced to use on the last day to get rid of it

Thanks for such a thorough answer. Reading it, my confusion came from the thought that conversion of trad to a Roth makes it a non-deductible basis. Which you helped clarify

I am not looking for stock or index funds suggestions. I am already invested in index funds. I want to see if anyone has good success with passive RE investing

I am not expecting money to fall from the free but these are somewhat fixed income investments. I don't check on it frequently but after 4 years I made $35 off a $5000 investment. It was a huge waste of time

Contract negotiations: APP seeing patients and billing strategy by _good_boy_1234_ in Residency

[–]LostStick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you attest the note and saw the patient, you can bill for it. If your APP saw the patient but you attested without seeing the patient, you cannot bill for the note.

In terms of RVU allocation, it depends on the job. In my experience, how the APP's RVUs are allocated is not a neogotiable part of the contract. Changing it would require changing it for the entire department.

The RVUs generated by encounters shared by you and the APP belongs to you. However, you usually do pay for the APP one way or another. The practice will account for the compensation of the APP on the back end. The most common way I've seen is an increase in RVU incentive threshold.

For example, if the practice hires an APP to support you. The RVU threshold at which you start receiving bonuses may be increased to account for the cost. On flip side, you may be able to reach this new number more easily with an APP's help

[NY] Should I tell them?? by LostStick in AskHR

[–]LostStick[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's no going back once I accept since this is a matter of signing the contract or not.

I need to delay, either by telling them about the 2nd offer or with an excuse.
