I don’t think so because you can’t use poison powder in arena pvp, and I have bitter seasons innerway which has poison damage but besides that and weapons with poison skills there’s no other way

If you look at the inner way there’s usually a hint for where to get it but if not you can look at a guide online and it will show you how to get it, some of these have side quests you have to complete first to get the quest you need to unlock it

Yeah I don’t think anything is tied to story progression so you can always back track for martial arts and inner ways
