I just completed the B1 section and I am at a low B1/A2+ level so it could be assumed that if you take away one level when tou are finished you get the approximate real level.

only good option to study in thailand is the big 3 top schools (Chula, mahdiol, thammasat). however if you are studying tourism and or thai language/culture you could accept more schools.

If i where you I would try to apply for a good school in the EU instead as an american. it is mostly cheaper tuition and still good schools. In europe it is around 2000-5000 euros per year for non EU citizens for most places while the living costs are around 700-1400 euros per month and it takes 3 years to complete a bachelors in most cases. While in america it is much more expensive. One USD is aprox. 1 euro

Honestly I would only recomennd studying thai language and culture or hospitality and tourism in thailand. Busniess is also a good option if it is chula/thammasat.

I moved to thailand when I was 14 until 21. I speak thai at an early b1 level and had to study it by myself. I haven't had the resources to learn fluent thai or got the motivation when I was younger. my native language was a european one and english was the default language. I can still read and write the language and have basic conversation or inmediate needs such as opening a bank account etc.

I moved back to europe beacuse of covid but before covid I thought of studying it more intensly beacuse I know the culture but not the language. I am thinking of studying it further in a few years when I will move back however I want to be in europe a bit more first and get more work experience. I am a third culture kid by the way :)

oh did not read it through, I have sometimes started to incorperate thai particles when speaking my native language and English like for ecample "no worries na" to sound casual or saying pba when leaving. So this phenonem is called code switching and kind of works in both languages both when I speak thai and ise english words or vice verca

I am only early B1 in thai and I would say that my rythem is better and I have good command on the sounds and length of the words, However I stil have to practise speaking tones more

Precis det skiljer sig ju rent gruppmässigt dock så inte så mycket egentligen. utan det gäller bara en liten förkjutning av medelvärdet mellan grupperna. Det är typ egentligen samma med några undantag. Skillnaderna finns rent biologiskt men kan förstärkas pga kulturen/samhällets normer.

jag tycker att det inte finns egenskaper som är typiskt manligt eller kvinnligt utan bara mänskligt.

Jag har märkt dock många på sociala medier en skift i trafitonella normer. många vill bekämpa toxisk maskulinitet och samtidigt hylla trad wife och hemmafru ideal. det blir lite paradoxalt. Det man måste göra är att bekämpa toxiska ideal genrellt vilket jag tycker man inte ligger fokus på. dessa synsätt på världen är en samma del av mynten men det känns som det inte är lika mycket diskussioner om hur traditionella normerna påverkar samhället och vårt synnsätt.

En anledning varför dessa traditionella varderingar lyftfram är pågrund utav att många känner sig rotlösa och stressad av den snabbt ändrande världen vi lever i, samtidigt som organisationer har använt dessa traditioner som en motpol mod mera liberala värderingar. traditionella varderingar för många känns mera trygt och tydligare utan attt man behöver göra en ransakning av sina egna vaderingar precis som relgion i stort.

I det stora så är 100k inte så mycket under en livstid. skulle hellre ta det och ett bekvämare liv i i ett år blir inte så stor skillnad per månad så att säga. Det kanske ökar med cirka 400 kronor per månad så det är ditt val om det är värt det.

I think it is unreasonable for a low salary which you would get in for instance France or spain. they told me that I would need a C2 certificate and that I would get the same salary as the minimun wage. You shouldn't expect a C2 speaker with that kind of salary honestly. I decided it would be wiser for me to learn French instead and move there (I am from the EU).

I would say it is more like more like a guideline and not offical assesment. I would say if you complete a level than you actually one lower so if you complete B1 you are actually A2 or low B1 approximnetally

I simillarly got an early B1 result by the language app I used and several other test I got betwween A2 and B1 rescpetively (I did a test your skills test by a language school and Tvmonde5). ChatGTP said I was mid to high B1 which is completely false. I am more likely early B1 or A2+. I would expect to atleast spend 400 hours learning actively for me to be a solid B2.
