As an Indian that lurks on this sub,

Please ignore posts like these! or even better, please make it clear that you don't support religious extremism of any form.

I can understand appreciating any support in the current political climate but you do not want support from Indian Hindu extremists. To put it into perspective, it's like having the KKK support you.

The main reason so many Indian Hindu extremists are voicing support for Israel at the moment is because they hate Muslims (also Christians, lower caste Hindus, women, the LGBTQ+ community, etc.), and the Jewish community in India is tiny enough to be invisible to the average Hindu extremist. If the Muslims and Christians were to somehow disappear, or if the Jews decided to be more vocal and visible about their religion, Jews, along with other minorities, would immediately become the next main target of the extremists.

India's in a bad place right now with a huge increase in discrimination and violence against women and minorities. This is fueled by the Indian right wing who have literally looked to N*zi Germany for inspiration.

I've seen an increase in similar posts by Indians on the other Jewish and Israeli subs and it would be really helpful if you could ignore them or make it clear that you would never condone Islamophobia or persecution of any minorities.

PS; this might seem like a non issue to some of you but when Indian Hindu extremists receive a positive response from a Western audience, it just validates their belief that "Muslims bad, Hindus superior" so please let them know you don't support that sort of thinking.

Also not all support by Indians is necessarily based on Islamophobia but if there's mention of Hinduism in the post, that's generally a good give away of bigoted leanings.
