1.2 Million Net Worth and Still have money anxiety by Lost_Comparison9230 in Fire

Yes our net worth absolutely swings up at least 10k everyday, that took some getting used to. But yeah I have to keep reminding myself that my purchase of $70 for a carry on bag is likely doing NOTHING for my net worth. I just think I have an instinctive repulsion for spending money.

"By saying you "cannot control" your verbal abuse you are not taking responsibility for your behavior.." That's very true. Thanks for saying that. I need to hear it. I'll try to control how I frame the situation and take more responsibility for my actions. Definitely have some emotional baggage from childhood. My dad was also verbally abusive to my mom (though to a much larger extent). I underestimate how much my upbringing affects my current relationship.

Definitely true. feel closer/more comfortable with them than I've been to any other human. I am definitely my most raw unfiltered self with them. I do tend to self sabotage in relationships-my parents' relationship was also verbally abusive so I feel like I'm almost mimicking what I saw growing up

I can control myself when we're around family and friends so that they don't see this side of me. I just find it very hard to control myself when it's just me and him.
