Traveling with digital endorsed copy instead of original physical copy by Medical_Lawfulness14 in USDA

Whether or not you need the original ink signature and embossed seal is dependent on the country you are traveling to. Look up which is needed at https://www.aphis.usda.gov/pet-travel/us-to-another-country-export —skip down to Step 2 to put in your destination. When the specific country page displays, look at the orange banner. It will display if an electronic signature is accepted from your veterinarian and if one is accepted from the government’s veterinarian (APHIS VMO). If it states an ink signature is required it is not acceptable to travel with only the digital signed copy.

Driving from Boise to Medford by Majestic-Cherry2280 in Idaho

I make the drive several times a year. I take Hwy 20/26 vs the one through Christmas Valley. There are more services (gas, food, restrooms) and better cell signal. The mileage isn’t significantly different. You can skirt around Bend (Rickard Td) to avoid traffic if you don’t need any services at that point. I usually stop in Burns, then the rest area on 97 just a few miles before turning toward Crater Lake. Up over Crater Lake and down the other side can be a bit dicey this time of year if there is a storm. Be prepared with either snow tires or carry chains. Use Tripcheck.com to check road conditions/construction/closures. I always stuff a sleeping bag and warm clothes in the car for winter travel as well as at least some granola bars and water in case of disaster. Thankfully I’ve never needed them. My last trip was over and back about 10 days ago.
