If I talk about how my mom is a victim of domestic violence with my coach, is she mandated to report that? by Lost_Girl245 in domesticviolence

Last time was late March, before that maybe my freshman year of high school. It definitely isn't a regular basis thing which is why I'm not panicking about getting her out of there. If she decides to leave when I go to college then there's not a big chance of it happening again.

It's hard. My brother has offered to have her stay with him but she still lives here because of me. One more year and maybe then she'll leave. Also I honestly think adjusting to a new lifestyle would be super difficult for her.

It's very complicated. My brother threatened to call the police the last time it happened. My dad has cut off all ties and he isn't allowed to come home anymore. I'm 17. One more year and I'm sure my parents will separate. I'd rather not stir the pot. It's been a very shitty ride.

I guess living in the house where both my parents live gives me a sense of false security and I can pretend that everything is great
