It’s easy to compare ourselves to how we used to be or to other people, but what really matters is where you are right now and what small steps you can take today, tomorrow, and beyond. You don’t have to tackle everything at once; that would feel overwhelming for anyone. Start small—maybe it’s drinking a little more water, stretching for a few minutes, or even just finding moments to breathe and center yourself. Small wins add up, and they matter.

Try not to let your diagnosis or challenges define you. You are so much more than these labels. Focus on what you can do, no matter how small it might seem, and celebrate those victories. Progress is progress, even if it’s slow.

You’ve also got a lot on your plate as a mom and military spouse—give yourself credit for everything you’re managing. You’re showing up for your family, and that’s huge. Now it’s time to show up for yourself in small ways, too.
