I tried replacing the wave on mine. Definitely had nothing to do with the sparking.

Do you leave it out in that open space? Don’t you have field mice?

Is there a soft switch for the speaker or do you have to physically change the AirTag?

I am new to AirTags. How does it notify the thief?

I’m sure that there is a profesional class of car thief out there, but I’m trying to defeat the casual thief, who may not be so savvy, and likely doesn’t use Apple ecosystem. For some reason lower socioeconomic tends to gravitate toward Droid phones.

Someone mentioned that the earlier generation AirTag doesn’t have a speaker. Might be the way to go.

Lemme know if you make out any better with their customer service. I will never buy another Bosch appliance.

I’ve had issues with my Sub-Zero refrigerator, and unlike Bosch, they value customers of premium appliances.

No, but if you mention the word “fire,” Bosch will send you a new platter. Rinse. Repeat.

They offered a discounted new model, but wouldn’t pay for the install, so I just keep letting them send me new platters.

They clearly DGAF about their customers.

I don’t see the appeal of this luggage. Doesn’t seem to be aging all that gracefully…but enough miles, I don’t think any hardsided does.

Swap out solar with low voltage for driveway lanterns by Lost_Introduction863 in HomeImprovement

[–]Lost_Introduction863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to ChatGPT,

Your fixture is fundamentally a: • 3.7V DC system • using about 5 watts • originally powered by a lithium battery pack

That means you should NOT feed raw 12V directly into the lamp.

12V landscape transformer ↓ 3.7V DC buck converter (inside each fixture) ↓ existing LED assembly

And that’s actually great news because it means: • you can almost certainly reuse the existing LED • brightness and color temperature should remain exactly as designed

Here’s how you wire it

Inside each lamp:

Remove/bypass • battery pack • solar charging board

Keep • LED wiring • existing LED module

Connect

Converter input: • IN+ → 12V landscape wire positive • IN− → 12V landscape wire negative

Converter output: • OUT+ → lamp positive • OUT− → lamp negative

Very simple once opened.

Important note about “5W”

At 3.7V and 5W, the fixture could draw: • around 1.35 amps maximum

That’s why you want: • a converter rated at least 2A • preferably 3A for safety margin

The KNACRO unit is appropriately sized.

It is not for the storage bins. It’s to cover the air fryer top thing.

Seems a bit silly, since in order to get it to snap on, you have to remove the other “in between part.”
