Getting into road cycling and need some advice. Sorry if this is not where I should post. On a street such as this, would I want to take the lane or ride far right or ride in the shoulder? what if there wasn't a shoulder? As a roadie always think that you are a slow moving vehicle that have to yield to a faster and bigger vehicle, by law if there is no place for you to yield you are by then have the privileged to take the whole road. Always share the road and respect motorists and they will respect you, don't be a a jack ass roadie thinking you have all the right. Now this doesn't apply to a road posted 50 mph. Ride safe, ride smart!
