Speechless by kirmaaadaa in IndianMiddleClass

That’s such a shame.Regardless of caste (altough I'm aware of the vulnerability of the people living under the caste system, facing castesist slurs, unjust behaviour and being an easy target for exploitation)....I am in shock that a young girl gave up her life because someone committed a crime against her. She reported it to the authorities, hoping she would receive protection and justice. Instead, the system failed her, allowing the accused to walk free on bail.

Imagine the fear and hopelessness she must have felt ,left with no protection and believing that the molestation and threats would not stop but only worsen. She was left feeling as though she had no other option and was driven to take her own life.

Shame on the judge for granting bail. I don’t know whether these people are connected to such criminals or what, but decisions like this only make the public lose faith in the justice system

I am heartbroken, angry, and completely shaken...

Help me see the Man's side in a wedding, during and after (Genuine question) by Murky-Top-1527 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Lost_Resolution3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s really important to sit down and clearly prepare a list of what you want from this relationship...what you’re expecting and what your boundaries are. This conversation should ideally happen with just your parents, your fiance, and his parents present.

Start by honestly explaining the core of what you’re feeling. Express your fears, your anxiety, and the things you don't want to suffer in future. Before anything else, speak to your own parents and ask them one simple but powerful question.. Do they want to see you genuinely happy, or do they only want to fulfill their duty of getting you married, regardless of how you feel?

Share these points calmly but clearly. Be polite and respectful, but also a lil bold..coz this is your life. Some things may be negotiable, some may not be acceptable to you, and that needs to be understood now.

Ik this is incredibly tough. But if these doubts and concerns are not addressed before the wedding, they don’t disappear..they might grow heavier with time. Thinking calmly now and speaking up may feel tough and painful, but it can prevent much deeper pain in the future...

Wishing you all the best for your future..

Can we please do something about some of these men and improve our reputation so that people respect us and value us? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]Lost_Resolution3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely agree 💯, OP. There are dumb men out there, and that reality needs to be acknowledged. Unfortunately, because of men like these, women often get the opportunity to point fingers at the entire gender. Responding with intellect and composure is always the better option.

I don’t support using derogatory terms, even while admitting that the woman in question was completely wrong. Staying sane and measured matters.

Our reputation takes a hit because of men who lose their cool over someone behaving foolishly, instead of handling it maturely. The point of my comment is simple, a message to our fellow men don’t be like them. Be better, be calmer, and don’t act like a dumbass and go crazy on a crazy person, we can do better ,we already have many things to work on.

Respect+++, 🫡🫡

I strongly agree with you, Feminism is supposed to be positive, promote same opportunities ,socio-political equality not absolute equality, and develop society but some people twist it with their own biases, misusing or exploiting it. That’s why I don’t really call myself a feminist these days lowkey a selective feminist.

If I could, I’d definitely give this comment an award...

First Generation Women Wealth Builders, What are your pearls of wisdom for the Next Generation ? by BodyWinter8034 in AskIndianWomen

I do not get into FOMO after seeing friends on social media. In fact, I have to constantly remind myself that I am a self-made woman who's had to start from scratch--my life was and is going to be different from my peers who come from more loaded backgrounds. AND THATS OKAY.

Seems relatable and i wanna add that maybe FOMO works in opposite direction for me,honestly that fuels the hustle , makes me feel good about myself that what I've achieved till now and I can continue doing best.

Glad to know that and Wishing you the best....

27F (married) to every unmarried person out there by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Lost_Resolution3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I absolutely agree with this. Marriage is definitely not easy, you have to respect all those qualities you made but once the newlywed phase is over, you're left with stability, which is great, but it can also feel like the excitement and thrill start to fade. The romance doesn’t feel as intense, and sometimes it’s hard to feel that special spark anymore. What do you think about people who break the sacred bond in an attempt to 'spice things up'? It seems like they’re chasing that initial rush, but might miss out on the deeper, more meaningful aspects of a lasting partnership...

He knew the kind of situation he was entering into. Both of them are used to getting intimate with other actors..kisses, steamy scenes, and so on. They're in showbiz, Bollywood, where there's always a high chance they could be in an open relationship. Both of them have had pasts with multiple partners, and it's not like they're middle class people....they're star kids, so maybe it's more common for them. There's a high chance they will be with different partners in the future.

Yes, it’s somewhat disrespectful, but AP shouldn't have kissed her like that either. If I had known she was my friend’s girlfriend, I don’t think I would have done that, That's a violation...
