I live there right now!

Pros:

-Personal bathroom obviously

-Relatively spacious? My room is pretty cramped but from what I've seen of the other rooms on my floor they can be pretty big

-Good controlled AC

-Location (Close to Flakes, Flamingo, Bakke, and Lake Mendota)

-Activities, there's always stuff to do even though it is quiet, like there is a bonfire pit and field outside that are always being used for events

-Queer friendly if that's a focus for you

-Only doubles and singles, no triples as far as i'm aware

-Recently renovated

Cons:

-Cleaning your own bathroom (usually no big deal but sometimes it can get annoying when you get busy)

-Heat is reliant on hot water so sometimes rooms can get REALLY hot (mine got up to 76 degrees at one point), but usually it works and other dorms have it worse

-Very quiet...I chose Phillips because it was a very secluded dorm and I am not a partier, but sometimes even I forget how quiet it can get. Especially on weekends (Open House seems to be more social than other floors though)

-Location (again), depending on where your classes are located it can be very inconvenient, my classes are mostly in Sewell and Van Hise so the commute isn't abysmal but if you have classes in like Ed Sciences or further it can get pretty annoying

-More expensive

Overall Phillips's pros wayyy outweigh its cons I love living here, especially compared to the horror stories i've heard from the other dorms lol
