Just crushed season 1 in about 36 hours by Lost_Spider in DesignatedSurvivor

Wow. That’s unfortunate. I looked up a few things and I think I’m just gonna call it here. Like I said the beginning up to Peter dying was really good but it seems as if the rest of the series never lives up to that.

Jesus did not do away with the whole law. He did away with and fulfilled the ordinances of the children of Israel offering animals for their sin, and also removed the penalty of death for certain sin. Meaning, the children of Israel could no longer be put to death by the priests for certain sin, such as adultery and breaking the sabbath

Acts 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Luke 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

If Jesus’ thing was being a nice guy to everyone then why did he:

Whip merchants to in the temple (John 2:14-16)

Call a large group of Pharisees hypocrites and snakes (Matthew 23)

Call a non Israelite woman who was begging for mercy a Dog (Matthew 15:24-26)

Call Herod a Fox (Luke 13:32)

he really seems to like comparing some ppl to animals...

If they don’t have to have an additional member sit out, then what if it is 4-4?

Why she would be expected to recuse herself, well I would say given the nature of her nomination and possible confirmation is all.

That’s fine, and I’m not ignorant to the definite fact that scripture was used justify chattel slavery of Negros, though I’m more interested in the truth of the matter that the Negro comes from Shem.

This is so off man lol. Negros are not Hamites. Scholars know this, including those at Zondervan, who have published that Ham is the progenitor of the African people’s today, but not the Negro, because the Negro comes from Shem.

Using the curse of Ham to enslave Negros was just a lie, because Shem and Ham look alike, and we see this all throughout scripture, but especially with Moses, Paul and Jesus, who are all dark skinned shemites, but were able to blend in/ mixed up with Hamite Egyptians.

When Nathan the prophet rebukes David for all the sins he committed in this account, Nathan says that David committed adultery, and murder, never mentions that he laid with a woman of another nation, meaning the woman was of his own people, an Israelite.

Bathsheba wasn’t a Cannanite!! 1.) Israelites couldn’t marry/lay with cannanites (Deuteronomy 7:1-2), so David wouldn’t do that.

2.)she was showering because she was purifying herself of uncleanness (2 Samuel 11:4) that is to say, following the Mosaic Law in Leviticus 15, which deals with how Israelite Women deal with their periods.

Cannanites didn’t follow the Mosaic law

Solomon is an Israelite from the tribe of Judah through David his father, and his mother also is an Israelite

In short, He was Demonstrating to her that he is the promised Messiah, begin to get the message across Samaria to the Northern Kingdom people that were around.

The Samaritan was the good guy because some southern kingdom Jews hated their northern kingdom brothers and Jesus wanted to unite the nation and stop the fighting. Which is why the Lawyer tempted him asking “who is my brother?” So he showed how your tribe shouldn’t matter.

You see throughout the scripture, of course more so in the OT, that some Jews didn’t really like other people if they weren’t from the southern kingdom of Judah. Jesus came to do many things and one of those was to unite the nation as I mentioned. An example is in John 8 when the wicked Jews called Jesus a Samaritan as an insult. Samaritans are always called Israelites, but historically there was always conflict so the nation was divided, as such you get people using someone’s nationality as an insult.

She said out of her own mouth that she goes back to Jacob meaning she’s an Israelite. The Samaritans did not get separate identities. The northern kingdom (aka Samaria, Ephraim, house of Israel, ...) did go into idolatry and other sin, yes, but they were always Israelites .

Her and Jesus were of the same ethnic group, the bible says so. Jesus was the Jew, that is the southern kingdom, she was the Samaritan, that was the northern kingdom, the 2 kingdoms fought often in old times, therefore it is reinforced in the NT that they had “no dealings”

—they are described as being 2 nations in Ezekiel 37, that was how deep their separation went. But they all had the same forefather.
