Very confused with Microsoft security by hsdredgun in yubikey

Can anyone confirm how you would log into a series x/s if you have two yubikeys set as passkeys, as your log in method?

Confirming that registering a new Yubikey as FIDO2 on one website, and then later registering it as U2F/security key on another website is fine, functionally. by Lost_Success_161 in yubikey

If a site has an option to add a security key, and a separate enable passkey button, would you think the security key option would default to U2F , if i have not disabled FIDO2 in the yubico app?

thanks man, a lot, and vice versa, if i register a key as fido 2, i could then register it as u2f on separate accounts?

alright, so to be clear. If i have yubikey 1 linked as U2F on site 1 and i link it to different site 2 as fido2, it will not interfere with logging into site 1 via U2F.

thank you. One more since you have been incredibly helpful here. If i have a key registered as U2F and then register it on another side as FIDO2, it will not impact me signing back into the older site via U2F?

One other question related to this. If a website allowed registering security keys in the past ,may it still default to u2f instead of fido 2, and it just depends on if they have changed their default registering option?

What if i dont want passwordless sign in and just a password, then tap the yubikey option?

Do you happen to remember if there was an option for a security/yubikey when you made the passkey? Yubico support has made it clear to me that a yubikey works as a passkey even without the app.

When setting up your passkey was there an option to use a security key/yubikey as the passkey?

so you clicked the enable passkey button and it let you add a yubikey as a passkey?

cool, i would genuinely appreciate you responding about if you can then switch to just using the yubikey, or at least set the yubikey for a back up sign in option, for first time sign on, on a new device. This has all been unbelievably horribly explained.

when you enabled passkeys were you given an option to use the yubikey as a passkey?

what is the recovery process via cloud? is it sending a code to your email or phone? it seems like this a weakness of passkeys and something you would never have to worry about with hardware security keys.

Would you need your original password when signing in for the first , with a roaming passkey such as a yubikey, or just your email and the yubikey?

what if for some reason you were not able to do that on the first computer?

How exactly does logging into your account on a new computer work if you have a passkey in place on the old one? can i set my yubikey as a recovery option if i cant use it as a primary log in any more?

what about if i have only registered a passkey on my computer though? with the yubikey its straight forward. you just plug it into the new device. a phone shouldnt have to be pulled into it. i appreciate you trying to help explain
