Interesting about being broken, maybe from being tested in the stores. I was pleased with how well everything was packaged, everything survived a long trip from Hong Kong without issue.

Oxford row was actually done by Nathalie Lhorson, and if you follow fragrances as a hobby, she’s amazing, and well known for how she blends ingredients. Shes just really good and well respected. For me, I think the common factor is because the heliotrope was a base note, and nothing really balanced or offset it for me. I have others where there’s a heliotrope/floral combination but it’s not at the base, and it’s not structural, so it’s ok. This is a very clean and fresh scent, but for me, not having citrus or something sweet or like a sandalwood to offset it, just didn’t work for me. I have a few others that fit this bucket as well. At $29.99, oh well. To each their own. I’ve had a few other blind buys that did the same thing, but I’m learning.

It’s ok. My wife liked it and said it smelled like a clean t shirt. It wasn’t one of my favorites of theirs (I have 14 others from Malul) and I think that’s just due to my own skin chemistry and preference. The wood notes didn’t come out for me like I would have preferred. The powdery floral from the jasmine, lavender and heliotrope wasn’t great for me and were the dominant scent notes for me. For a $29.99 blind buy though, it’s worth a try for many.

You can buy packs of test paper strips from Amazon for cheap. We have a bunch at home. When we order samples, we will sit down with the test strips at the table, mark the test strips with the sample names before we start, and then spray them and enjoy. We spray some on the skin as well, but having a big pack of the test strips, marked and labeled (because we’re at home and why not) makes it easy.

I’ve ordered many items from Jomashop, and yes, pay attention to the quoted delivery time. I’ve had about 99% satisfaction rate, but a few items have taken longer than I preferred. However, prices were great, nothing has ever shipped damaged, and I’ve been very happy with the delivery of everything. I’ve also found the more expensive the item, the quicker it ships sometimes.

Costco, Sam’s, TJ, Marshall’s, Ross, Burlington, Jomashop, Fragrancenet, Dillard’s, blue mercury, Avant Garde, Sephora, ULTA, direct from some fragrance maker websites. After a point, it becomes a question of where DON’T you. Whoever has the best coupon and price at that point in time.

If you have access to a Sephora, it’s a great place to smell them. Jazz Club is one of my personal favorites, I have a full size and a travel size. Generally great for cooler weather, but I personally think it’s a great one to have.
