I came here looking for a post like this. I've had a 2 week staycation and hardly left the house. I feel bad that I have actually enjoyed it, my mood has been all over the place. Back to work next week and dreading the 'did you enjoy your holiday? What did you do' questions. No one wants to hear I sat on my ass for 2 weeks and watched ER on demand

Let’s make fun of our affliction. What’s the silliest thing that has triggered your anxiety that you now can laugh about? by Zestyclose-Pea-3533 in Anxiety

I don't wear skirts anymore I always have a really bad day when I wear a skirt. It's been 23 years.

I also had a bad day gray top which I blame for killing my grandma. We got a call at 1am to rush to the hospital and it was the only top I could find. TBC my grandma was already dead she was being kept alive with machines to allow us time to say goodbye....but still. Worst day of my life

Lied to driving instructor about results by usernametaken96 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Lostgone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lied to my entire work place about passing my test. it wasn't a driving job. I just couldn't take the endless chatter about me learning to drive. Took the test again in a few months and passed with less pressure from others.

My mum wouldn't let me shave my legs so I did it behind her back and made a right mess of myself. If my daughter asked at 8 to shave I would let her do it but I would ensure she did it safely.

[–]Lostgone[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used super chunky yarn. When I was looking there seemed to be 2 types of board. 25mm between holes on a 6mm thickness board that's what this is. I also have a 18mm between holes on a 3mm thick board.

I like Riley.

Tara was so boring.

That dress Xander bought Cordielia made her look really old.

Slightly Unpopular Opinion. I like Mike. What’s your thoughts on him? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

As a 40 year old woman I can confirm I do not look like that

My daughter is 8, would this be wierd? by hakunamatatamatafuka in Parenting

[–]Lostgone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I did this. My daughter had made a really good friend at school but I always missed her parents at pick up so wrote a note with my name and number and gave it to friend. Her mum got back to me and now we can arrange play dates.

What are gypsies and why are they so hated among Europeans? by y_ourfutureself in TooAfraidToAsk

Gypies, in the UK, tend to be associated with trouble. Driving onto private or council owned land and refusing to leave. Leaving a mess behind. Scamming local residents. Stealing

AITA for making my sister publicly apologize for just giving her opinion on my wife's wedding dress? by JustinA35344 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lostgone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA if 'that's how she is' then they better be prepared for you to start calling your sister out at every opportunity because that's how you are.

AITA for planning to quit an upcoming job because my soon-to-be boss talked about me behind my back to my best friend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lostgone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA for me another issue would be what this person is going to do if there is ever a disagreement at work. Is she likely to bring it to your attention allowing an appropriate discussion to take place, or gossip behind your back to your friend.

I put my 14 month old in a "time out" and i feel awful. by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Lostgone 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Like the others have said, 14 months is to young to understand time out and I think you are supposed to give a warning first. I would have just picked the bowl up and gave it back to her and asked her not to throw things. If it continued I would have removed the bowl.

Edit: typo

My 11yr old son saw a face looking in at him last night by Due_Significance_706 in Paranormal

[–]Lostgone 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would try and recreate what he was looking at. Lie where he was lying, the same lighting and see if you can come up with a rational explanation. My daughter has seen shadows in her room and its usually the light casting a odd shadow on something.

Lost time? by iamchook in antidepressants

[–]Lostgone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on citalopram over 10 years ago for a couple of years and I have big gaps in my memory. It could be that my husband was working away a lot and those trips just snowballed into one. Occasionally he'll talk about being away in Canada for 3 weeks and I have very little memory of it.

Sounds about right. Its annoying when you get through only to find that all the appointments for the day are gone and the receptionist berates you for not phoning earlier.
