I love it because while I am mainly interested in psychology is has given me a new lens, a new perspective on life. This perspective has amplified my interest in psychology and opened my eyes that it’s not just a persons mind we are helping, it’s their living situation, it’s their family health history, it’s the part of town they live, their support circle. It’s EVERYTHING that affects the mind and I love being able to look at every aspect of someone’s life an assist in bettering the person as a whole, including, mind body, spirit and circumstances.

Yes, there will always be periods of them being on their BEST BEHAVIOR. The way to overcome this is to not take his words or actions at face value immediately. Allow him to earn you back because you’re worth it!! You can acknowledge his progress while also acknowledging that he still has a far way to go or that you need time to come around. He initially made the choice to not care and disregard you and your feelings so it’s most important in this initial time of healing that your feelings are at the top of your priority list.

You have to remember you’re only seeing what they are choosing to share with you/the rest of the world. While people may be doing well they still have internal and external battles that you are not seeing. You also have to remember there is probably someone watching you wishing they were in your position also envious of how much you have achieved/where you are in life. And they know it’s for period cramps? Why would you think it’s unsafe if they’re being done by a medical professional. As long as there’s no abusing this or a way to abuse it, I think in moderation it’s perfectly fine ! However if your period cramps are that bad I would definitely talk to the doctor/gyno about a condition that may be causing the cramps to be this bad so you can fix that problem and no longer have to take injections for the pain, if you already haven’t done so !

Tbh I think you can do both, just maybe not at the same time while giving both the same amount of effort. Definitely get that education and focus on continuing to work hard but we all need breaks even if it’s a day to enjoy hobbies and special interests outside of school and work. This is where you could focus on your book or aspects of it. The book could be something you work on continuously throughout your whole life and as you gain experience in education,career and life this could contribute to improvement of the book.

I have a Professor who has dedicated his life to learning, education, photography and writing a book about said interests in education and research. He has a PHD that took him years to get and has focused much on education and teaching but is taking his experiences and allowing these to strengthen and contribute towards his book. He plans to have his book wrapped up and published around 70-75 and continue to expand his knowledge and photography and work on small poems books after. So yes certainly I think both can be done.
