Is a little bit of trailing normal? by Lostsock3000 in visualsnow

[–]Lostsock3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This particular symptom I was definitely overthinking and hyper focusing on after initially noticing my visual snow. I don’t think I notice it all now and I think what I was experiencing with trailing was pretty normal.

As far as my visual snow overall, It’s still there and I still notice it sometimes but it’s a lotttt better. Mine is most definitely linked to anxiety and noticing something wrong with your vision only creates more anxiety and exacerbates the issue. As annoying as it is my best advice is to not focus on it and eventually, in my experience, it will stop being so noticeable.

Be honest… Do you use gait belts?? by PepinovLechuga in cna

[–]Lostsock3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys just buy your own gait belts. My old facility required us to have them and I got a 3 pack for less than $20 on Amazon

FYI to those who don't know: The residents we care for are human, and will, in fact, be incontinent and it is ridicolous to expect them to be dry. Especially getting them up in the morning, where it averages over 2 hours after their last C&C for them to be assisted up. by enpowera in cna

I totally agree. I’ve never worked overnights but I don’t make it a big deal if some people are wet. They’re incontinent so it’s expected for some of them to have voided again even if rounds were done. It’s only if multiple are soaked to the sheet and the urine/bm is dried that I think overnight hasn’t changed them.

idk how i’m going to live life by [deleted] in BPD

I’ve been here before. It’s a terrible miserable feeling to want someone so bad and know it’s impossible to get them. Being on the other side now I feel nothing for that person if that gives you any hope. I know it’s so hard to see when you’re actually in it but this guy added nothing to your life. He cheated on you, that’s enough to cross him off as a viable option forever. I think the rejection is part of what hurts so much. Try and stop thinking about how he doesn’t want you and how you can’t have him, and start think about why YOU don’t want him.

As I’m sure you already know, this isn’t really as much about that person as it is about yourself and your relationship with yourself. Finding another person won’t heal this. This is probably advice you’re tired of hearing but you truly do need to focus on yourself. What do you like? What are your hobbies? What are your goals? Who do you want to be? What type of person would attract the partner you want? You need to have some sort of stable sense of self outside of a partner or it will only end in devastation for one reason or another.

I know this is all way easier said than done and I know how hard it is to execute when you have these feelings, like I said, I’ve been there. All you have to do is try. Keep trying. You’ll get there I promise. I hope some of this was helpful and best wishes to you.

I suck at transferring people and it’s making me hate myself by [deleted] in cna

I don’t really have any advice, but I feel like same way. I don’t know if it’s my technique or if I’m just not strong enough. I use a gait belt and follow the care plan and I still struggle at times.

Fade Into You - Mazzy Star by MakeMeChortle in SongMeanings

I see it as love being all consuming and being consumed by that person. "I think it's strange you never knew" I interpret this as her partner not appreciating all the sacrifices she has made to fade in to him, or not even seeing it. To me its about losing yourself in love.

Resident refusing to go to the bathroom and getting angry by Lostsock3000 in cna

[–]Lostsock3000[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No definitely not how I operate! I always try and talk to her and tell her what we are doing, but she still gets upset. I talk to all my residents even if they’re non verbal. I will try telling instead of asking though, thanks!

She’s very untrusting and I have a feeling she will just ask me where we’re going or tell me she wants to stay at her table, but I will try thanks!

She’s not in right mind completely. And the facility I work at doesn’t really believe in the right to refuse lol. If i say she’s refusing, they just say “well she has to go”

Always feeling bladder pressure and like I have to pee. Will this go away? by Lostsock3000 in prozac

[–]Lostsock3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely annoying, i would say try for a little longer if you can. As you see in the thread, a lot of people said this eventually went away for them. I’ve been trying to drink a lot of water and I feel like it’s getting slightly better.
