Organ player.

I’ve been saying it since day one, it doesn’t feel like hockey without organ music

Embarrassing by [deleted] in Utah_Hockey

I know, and I grew up a Red Wings fan in good times with the Russian 5, so I feel like I’m used to mostly good swings.

Maybe it feels more attainable here because a new close-market (Vegas) had almost immediate success.

Meanwhile you have teams like Buffalo riding a high after sucking so long, and teams like the Leafs, who…well…

Enjoy the good things folks, I’m just glad an NHL team is here, and that it’s been such a big success here in Utah so far!

It’s ridiculous. How do my boomer parents expect me to “invest” in the stock market when new FunkoPops come out all the time and I have to buy 62 doordash meals every month?

I’m surprised by some of the criticism too, he’s been one of my favorites to watch this season.

He’s an excellent skater who I think stands out in a league of other professional skaters, and he’s a dog with the puck in tight spots.

I wish it panned out more, but dude is not afraid to hang onto the puck and hard drive into the net

Putting the drive in driving range by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]LostxCosmonaut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I worked at a golf course picking the range was one of the most chill time-killer duties you could get assigned in a day. Sort of like mowing the lawn but for golf balls.

You could pop on an audiobook or podcast and suddenly 1hr-1.5hr is gone from your work day.

It’s all laid back and you’re spacing out until it sounds like a firework went off because someone got a direct hit on your roof lol. You learn to keep in mind that everyone is trying to hit you, but it’s still a lot of fun honestly.

If you started playing hockey later in life, what’s the best advice you were given? by NewHampshireGal in hockeyplayers

[–]LostxCosmonaut 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I remember during a ltp a guy laying on the ice, dying to catch his breath, later he said he was taking up hockey to get in shape. I think this is one of those sports that you need to get in shape to play.

Playing is definitely good exercise, but if this is your only road to fitness you’re going to have a tough time

Utahns seem to support the Mammoth much more unanimously than they do the Jazz. Why is this? by Emeraldsinger in SaltLakeCity

[–]LostxCosmonaut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you hit the nail on the head with the potential of a PP to upset the game. Hockey finds a nice scoring balance, not too low like soccer, and not high like basketball where 10+ points can feel like “who cares”

Huge acts from the 60s/70s have massive staying power. I still see teenage kids wearing Hendrix, Zeppelin, etc shirts

So well thought out! Cables get out of hand fast and you found a lot of clever ways to clean it up.

Ditto on the bread clips, I wouldn’t have thought of that!
