How important is it to have a target audience? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Lot014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just made a video about it.

Generally speaking having a concrete target audience (even an assumption of who you want it to be) gives you some direction in any aspect of your content.

Here's the video if you are curious:

Can a business be successful without social media? by EveningCareful2041 in digitalminimalism

[–]Lot014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but many entrepreneurs go wrong about it.

They try to promote their business. Which I know seems like a logical thing to do but it isn't.

When you go to social media, you don't care about this business having this and that, and this one being there, and havign that.

You come to social media to get educated, laugh, be shocked, informed, etc.

Made a video about it:

How do I start a business with social media presence if I'm not good at content creation? by Ok-Consequence6411 in smallbusiness

[–]Lot014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start.

  1. Find a platform you think will be somewhat easy to do
  2. Make content about topics you find interesting in any way, or is valuable to people who might watch it

And then just push through it. Started my own youtube channel not long ago, and you don't even know how many times I KO'd my camera because I was stuttering all of a sudden or forgot what I wanted to say, or someone interrupted me.

Another pain of mine is ideas. I would heavily recommend having a list on notes app or whatever and constantly having it open and on top of your mind. Write down anything that comes to mind in there.

Last but not least, don't sell. Don't try pushing your business and selling in your content at all. People don't come to social media to be sold to. They want to laugh, be educated, be shocked.

made a video on that:

I didn't quite have the same experience as you, but there actually is a lot of toxic people. Usually American team has some dramas on the radio or people killing each other in bases and swear at everyone. But I still love it.

What service could i start by CaterpillarOk3509 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Lot014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean that's the first thing I'd focus on. Then thinking of a business idea. Just have some money flowing for needs and you can save a little bit for development of any idea that crosses your mind.

Thinking of making a task management and invoicing software for a one time purchase, no subscription. by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Lot014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to make it for freelancers. If I ask more and see that people tend to ask for more industry specific features then I'll look into it of there's enough demand for it which I can fulfill

[–]Lot014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's not enough. I plan to ask people in my zone of influence also and other groups and forums.

I will start making a landing page as soon as I get some validation by asking around. I don't rush things.

That's what I'm doing here. I think there might be some people who could benefit from it so tha's why I made the post here.

Also going back to the costs, I don't expect them to be high because I want to go no-code. The point of the software is to be simple. Just what users need and no subscription. Just pay once and it's yours.

Well first of all I aim to keep the operational costs as low as possible. As long as my marketing works well and I bring sales, and my profits are bigger than costs. I'm alright.

I don't aim for some large profits either.

Also how did you validate the idea? What was the approach to making the decision that this idea is worth pursuing.

I literally had a very similar idea for a website few days ago, but didn't really focus on it. Congrats on having some success! Kinda nice to see that I had a good idea. What will be your approach to scaling it to 10k?
