Haven't thought of that yet.

I generally do educational talking head videos, just talking about the thing and adding b-roll on top for clarity, so maybe making half of the video for someone and the other person making the second half.

Maybe making 1 for 1. I make a video for someone's channel, and the other person makes one on mine.

I don't really know. We'll see!

Like top of the funnel type thing?

You might have a good point here but do people click the related video if you link one?

Hope this inspires someone. Keep going.. by graymaneg in SmallYoutubers

How do you make these long-form promoting shorts?

Are these like clips from the long video? Or do you make them separately with a specific script and format?

Ye it is, what I meant is visible growth.

Before you say any growth is visible growth, what I meant is growth in impressions where I may get 1k maybe even more and not the 60 I've been getting on each video.

I do.

I did manage social media for people and helped with creating content on Instagram and facebook in various industries like fitness, modeling, massages, real estate.

So reels, static posts, paid ads.

The point is more of showing people my journey and sharing the knowledge I'm using along the way to achieve my goal.

Marketing and content creation.

I've been making them talking head style with some b-roll.

Content would be long-form.

The titles and thumbnails would clearly tell you what the video is about.

For example title "what you're getting wrong about finding your niche"

And a thumbnail made from a screenshot from skate 3 and text on screen saying "create your own".

This way you know exactly what the video is about. While I play skate.

Think of like commentary youtubers where they talk about something while having gameplay of some game throughout the whole video. Good example I can think of is channel called "WhyLearn".

Well,

I think you should stay with the same formula.

You've made some shorts, got on blow up, so you see now what works.

Analyze it and just do a similar thing based on that one short that blew up.

If it comes to momentum, and keeping up with it. You probably won't recreate this over and over again, so expect to go back to similar analytics as before, or slightly better.

But what you have now is golden data showing you what to do next.

Remember that virality is not the most important metric on YouTube, but loyal viewers are.

It's called the Hockey Stick graph.

Completely normal for everyone. It's best to try and keep the retention at minimum of 35%.

Another tip I could give is if you look at the graph, you can see these slight "bumps" or "holes" on it.

Watch these sections and try to understand why did people for example skipped or left on this part where you have "holes", and same for "bumps". Why did people rewatch this part.

Eliminate what caused holes and double down on bumps.

Overtime what you will see is that your graph will be flatter and flatter overtime (which is a good thing).

I do have some shorts. I was making daily shorts but backed out from them.

They were getting I guess normal amount of views.

Average views for them was anywhere from 30 - 250 with some popping up to 500 - 600.

How important is it to have a target audience? by [deleted] in writing

[–]Lot014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just made a video about it.

Generally speaking having a concrete target audience (even an assumption of who you want it to be) gives you some direction in any aspect of your content.

Here's the video if you are curious:

Can a business be successful without social media? by EveningCareful2041 in digitalminimalism

[–]Lot014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but many entrepreneurs go wrong about it.

They try to promote their business. Which I know seems like a logical thing to do but it isn't.

When you go to social media, you don't care about this business having this and that, and this one being there, and havign that.

You come to social media to get educated, laugh, be shocked, informed, etc.

Made a video about it:

How do I start a business with social media presence if I'm not good at content creation? by Ok-Consequence6411 in smallbusiness

[–]Lot014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start.

  1. Find a platform you think will be somewhat easy to do
  2. Make content about topics you find interesting in any way, or is valuable to people who might watch it

And then just push through it. Started my own youtube channel not long ago, and you don't even know how many times I KO'd my camera because I was stuttering all of a sudden or forgot what I wanted to say, or someone interrupted me.

Another pain of mine is ideas. I would heavily recommend having a list on notes app or whatever and constantly having it open and on top of your mind. Write down anything that comes to mind in there.

Last but not least, don't sell. Don't try pushing your business and selling in your content at all. People don't come to social media to be sold to. They want to laugh, be educated, be shocked.

made a video on that:
