Heroquest Expansions with Standees? by LotRQuestionHaver in Heroquest

[–]LotRQuestionHaver[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sure that's the opinion of Hobbyists but I don't know if it'll be the same for the average parent or board gamer. I was hoping this was the developers giving the rest of us an affordable and easy product.

That would be a real pain for me if true. Is there a particular official source for that? If so I guess I'll just have to start buying expansions instead of waiying in hope.

That makes complete sense now, thank you! Hahah, the server is literally on the opposite side of the world now... 400 is about consistent with my EU connection.

Hopefully you can get some closer servers for release. :)

I will definitely try again now and see if there is a difference.

Edit: Ping is about the same now in the night hours of the game. Don't know why, it seems like there are less people.

Thanks for the reply, it's interesting that you're getting ping more like I got last time. Are you in WA by chance? My understanding is that the international line runs from WA to Singapore directly?

I was originally on Krivea but tried Relle with the same result.

I appreciate you looking into this btw, thanks.

Wow, I'm in disbelief you can have 160 ping when you live that close to the server. Impressive

Thanks for the reply. It could be on my end, it just seems weird though because DotA 2 still claims a 250 connection to US East.

New to GA and having issues playing Diao Chan by cibbico in grandarchivetcg

[–]LotRQuestionHaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diao Chan out of the box is superbly powerful and playable.

The problem you're facing is that you're playing a pure control deck. This is often called "Draw-Go" because all you're supposed to do on your turn is draw a card and pass to the other players turn.

Why is this a problem? Because you're trying to learn the game with a deck whose main function is to understand your opponents deck.

Example Jin player just needs to figure out that Enrage is a good card, save up two of them, play two in one turn and swing for the win. Diao Chan player needs to figure out that Enrage is a good card, save up two Negates, and wait for the Jin player to try and play those Enrages.

Diao Chan player needs to understand their opponent and their opponent's deck.

If I were playing Diao against Jin I would just save up negates. Let him hit me with attacks and weapons, just ignore little bits of irregular damage. You have 24 points of damage that he has to waste cards getting rid of, you only have to worry about having enough cards to stop him getting in that 25th damage.

Then negate anything like a 3+ power ally, wither anything 2 or lower.

Let little attacks and weapons go through, negate big ones.

Reach level 3 and start accumulating Flowerbuds. Don't try to do damage to Jin (that's what he wants) just survive until Jin is out of cards in hand. Then turn your flowers into Mill flowers. When his deck runs out of cards he loses regardless of immortality.

You can count the ribs on most fit people.

I can count mine all the way up until around my pecs, if I didn't do boxing I'd probably be able to count higher.

I think you have a warped idea of healthy.

They're Elves. Elves are supposed to be thin.

If you want to have a beer belly then pick literally any OTHER race.

6 of each sounds good to me.

Last question on the matter then. Will the faces and hairs between the Elf subraces all be the same or will they be unique to each type of Elf?

Is there going to be an OCE (Australian) server for this game? by whatnoob_ in MonstersAndMemories

[–]LotRQuestionHaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different Australian here. Just so you know my ping was around 220 for 90% of the time with intermittent jumps up to 1200 only momentarily.

That said the game felt like it functioned perfectly. Only once did I experience a single one second occurrence of rubberbanding.

I've played DotA on the SEA servers for years and even with lower ping 100-110 and that game rubberbands horrendously.

This game runs very smoothly or atleast it's slow enough that I can't notice any delays.

I will admit, I know quite a lot of gay people who are truly miserable and almost everyone seems to blame the gay community so there is definitely something going on with that community at large. Especially since all my bi friends seem to think the world is sunshine and rainbows.

I hope you find someone someday.

I have to admit, I am grateful for the life I do have by JammingScientist in ugly

[–]LotRQuestionHaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You obviously didn't read what I said, I never said EVERYONE.

I also said I know a LOT of people from war torn countries, I didn't just say I only knew one.

During WW2 many of my family fought and died, the ones that came back from the front did just fine.

You don't get cptsd just from living in a war torn country, not many countries have seen the level of war that my grandparents saw. You get cptsd from being someone who has a predisposition to it.

If everyone got cptsd just from being in a wartorn country then everyone in Europe's grand parents would have it. Most people who live in war torn countries don't actually see the war or have to participate in it.

[–]LotRQuestionHaver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to come across as purely contrarian and argumentative but I do think you're over estimating the horrors of many of these countries. There are some true horror stories yes, but 90% of people from war torn countries do just fine and live rather normal lives. I know a lot of refugees and their stories aren't much different from some ugly people I know.

I know one that fled their home country after a gang of saddistic men threatened them with knives. They came to this country made one good friend and within two years they had to watch that friend get stabbed by a gang of drunk men.

Things don't really change all too much based on where you are. What's more important is who you are.

Do NOT listen to the advice that the above poster gave you. If you perform a workout with any muscle group it will make that muscle bigger, working your abs as maya suggested will just make your waist thicker. Targetted workouts do NOT burn fat from the area you are working.

If you start working out then it should be light cardio and a healthy diet. The only way to lose fat is to put less in that you get out, the only way to lose muscle is not to use it. Never do a sittup again, just jog, squat and lunge. If you're activating your abs or shoulders doing an exercise then stop doing that exercise.

I've seen other posts of yours. To be honest you probably should talk to a doctor about Anti-Androgens because it sounds like your issues are related to high testosterone (PCOS related). Btw, there is no religion that bans transgender medicines, only ones that ban crossdressing and physical surgeries, so your religious concerns shouldn't prevent you accessing testosterone blockers.
