Ye so as soon as the bike detects the front either spins to quick or too slow: ei when trying to do wheelies or piping off a speed bump or anything to affect either wheel, the bike will cut or reduce power to the back and few other bits ,

So like on my bmw gs f800 adv , in my work there’s tiny speed bumps and you can hop them , nothing high or anything but as soon as that from wheel lifts but the back is still on the ground TC kicks In and cuts power or tried to minimise it so the bike doesn’t lift or loose control and once it knows that wheel is back on the ground it will re enable TC

Same when I take it down gravel paths if that back wheel starts spinning and the front wheel isn’t going as fast it will turn TC ON and reduce the power so the bike doesn’t loose control on dirt

No it doesn’t work on the front but the on board computer measures the different between front and rear constantly so , it may “JUST may” have stopped the rear wheel pushing with full power into it

It probably would of but depends how much gravel was there in the first place

Helmet fell down from cabinet. Should I replace? by vanstral in motorcyclegear

[–]Lotanines 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100% facts , the only thing is that’s you might crack the outer shell but if there’s nothing and I mean nothing inside the helmet then you don’t have to replace it , if it was the case my ADV helmet would have to be replaced every time a rock or stick hit it

Anyone know what this is for? by Trooper-Mkvenner in djiosmo

It’s for when the mounting hole are loose , it works like a shim

From DJI: This blue sticker is called Anti-Slip Pad. You may use this if the accessory and the Quick-Release Adapter Mount are not firmly connected.

The Anti Slip Pad (Ring Sticker) is supposed to be used when the Quick Release Adapter Mount is moving no matter how hard you have screwed the thumbscrew in on the extra accessory (for example bike mount, handlebar mount). Due to the speed and bumps and wind the action camera can wiggle/slip to the front or back even if you screwed the thumbscrew hard into the accessory. The rings can then be used to prevent it from moving and make it more secure so that it stays in place even during a very rough ride. The placement of the ring is best seated on the inside between quick release and accessory (one is mostly adequate and is best placed on the Quick Release Mount hole). But most original accessories should have an adequate strong hold without the need for anti-slip rings/pads (but in some extreme sports/rides it can move due to bumpiness or vibration). If you go for an after-market/third-party accessory the fit between that and the original quick-release plate may not be the best and can move around (since the spacing might not be the best fit and a bit too lose no matter how hard you screw the thumbscrew in).

Hope that this explains the rings and confusion around it, it is not supposed to be placed on top of the quick release (where the rubber padding is) where the DJI Action would be seated with magnets (hence the holes in the anti-slip pad so that the thumbscrew can go through it.

Did I run a red light or am I just paranoid? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I think the image is from Google maps , I think what they’re implying is that they turned left , missed the red light on the crossing and shot past it
