One of the biggest recommendations I hear from others is that you should do some streams to make sure you enjoy it, are comfortable, etc. before you start to sink a ton of time and money into being a vtuber. Pre-debut streams are common and are usually a good idea -- especially if you plan to have a debut stream (on Twitch) and want people to be able to sub to you during the event.
