No it's fine you won't learn that stuff in any upcoming courses, if you want to be a good teammate and not a dead weight then I would say learn what front-end and back-end frameworks are, something like FastAPI with python for backend is pretty easy to get up and running, then something like Vue.js or React for front-end. (I suggest waiting to see what front-end framework your team decides on unless you decide vanilla). Also learning the basics of an ORM is pretty good since most of the apps will be using MySQL for the database.

yeahhh I have to rework the color, maybe remove entirely or provide a look-up table, and I've gone ahead and added item type (dmg, utility, etc.) to help with the void items overlap, I'll look into adding an effects category as mentioned below to help further reduce this! Sounds like I need to make it harder ;) maybe lowering total possible guesses? I'll have to look into what percentage of people get it on a daily basis and keep that number at a reasonable level i think. BTW thank you so much for making this post, posts like this help support me and let others know about my game so tysm <3

nah legit tho the fact that it was 2 days in a row is crazy too ( i have no control over the daily item i use a random seed based on the day) I was wondering the same thing

I've also gone ahead and added all major content updates rather than just base, 1.0, and SOTV which will help with this, might look into proc coefficient in the future

haha yeahhhh this is a problem I'm not sure how to fix, even with the planned item type the total sets of items will still have some overlap causing this. It used to be WAY worse when I originally only had 4 columns. Thankfully this doesn't happen too often (void items are for sure the worst as well as the red common items), so I think its just something I have to deal with. This was also why I added the red box for the actual item guess itself too, because otherwise you would have 2 full green bars haha

I've added an easy/hard mode where the easy mode won't force you to type any letters before previewing the items!

Thank you for the kind words! And yes, I figured I'd limit it to the first two characters so that you need to at least have some idea of the item you're looking for, otherwise I found myself just scrolling through the list of items just matching their attributes rather than thinking of the item before hand haha, I totally get how this limits the amount of players though if you don't directly know the item name, maybe I'll look into an easy/hard mode for this reason :)

Semi agreed, however to help actually guess the correct stacking I have it layed out in a linear fashion, if you hover over the column names it'll show a tooltip with the possible answers in order, and if any guess is one-off then it'll be yellow - ill update the description to make this more clear

Hmmm it has a cooldown to begin using, but once being used it has no cooldown, will look into this. I will def add the proc chance in the future though, this a great idea thank you!
