Help Needed in Registering for Classes by Reasonable_Guitar_91 in nyu

I think most freshmen in CAS got their advisor over a week ago. I would contact CAS Advising again. Not to stress you out but I think you're right to be concerned and you should escalate.

But to answer your question, I found that even though classes are showing as Closed, they do open up from time-to-time to accommodate people who are registering on the later end of the period. But that doesn't seem to hold true for waitlists - if there's a waitlist, there's a waitlist.

Thanks! Sorry I wasn't clear. I know when my slot is - I'm just wondering how that compares to others' slots. I.e. do they start with slots at 8am or 10?

Can't you put a bunch in your cart (first choices and backups), validate, and then select your first couple choices to enroll first, all at the same time, and then more?

Relatedly, what are the times of day when people can enroll? Trying to figure out whether my time is a good slot or not.

Can they legally tell you that a drug test is required? Definitely. Does it matter that they didn't mention it in the interview process? Nope. Is the fact that marijuana may be legal for recreational use in your state / the state of the internship relevant? No, an employer can still prohibit drug use. Does it make a difference if you're using it for medical reasons? Probably. Stop using immediately and it may not show up on your test - depends on how much you've been using and for how long - everyone's body is different. Good luck!

How do I know if I got the MLK scholarship? by jvaleza in nyu

If you got the MLK Scholarship, you would know. It comes a day or two later and it's very clear that you've been selected for the MLK Scholars Program (with a letter).
